[...] The book was written, simply put, with a breath, to be published in English, German, Italian, languages in which it has already been published. The goal was to multiply the foreign reader's sources on Romanian subjects. Of a reader more hurried in relation to the Romanian, and who reader is interested in Romanians only occasionally. Thus, the limited number of pages is also explained. It's just a quick look. This and nothing else. The desired outcome of this short history of the Romanians has always been the overall perception. It would be difficult for anyone to have an advanced perception of all the times and events of a people. It is almost impossible.
As a means of writing, the book is an effort to record objectivity, at this moment necessary. The author tried, in most cases, to perceive the events from the perspective of the European, of the average educational level, who would like to learn more about one of the countries of the continent. For this reason, the book constantly refers to European correlations with the history of the Romanians. However, we believe that the internal events were not downgraded. They were simply presented in a broader context. [...]
