Description

Drama, 1960s. In a small village, Vasiliki, a beautiful sixteen-year-old girl full of dreams, grows up enduring the oppressive behavior of her rural family, especially her strict mother, who hinders every effort she makes to break free from the outdated mentality of the countryside, to get an education, and to spread her wings. Her only support in her dreams is her grandmother. Every day that dawns, although the same as the previous one, brings her a new hope that she will soon escape the miserable daily life of the village and that the love that will come into her life will free her from her prison. But this love takes a long time to arrive, and Vasiliki, seeing time pass and unable to endure all this oppression any longer, agrees to marry Dimitris, a young man from Thessaloniki, through an arranged marriage. Leaving to live there with him, she believes she is happy. Soon she discovers that her marriage traps her even more, but she compromises, believing that this is how life is. Until the gaze of another man, which falls like fire on her frozen heart, leads her to an unprecedented passion that she never expected, imagined, or hoped for.

Vasiliki finally lives the dream. Until the fire becomes a disaster.
