The Gospels, despite the countless texts written about them throughout the centuries, are never a thing of the past. Nor are they addressed to the future. They are not meant for us to mold them according to our desires, projecting through them our ambitions and philosophies, our thirst for power and dominance, or our morality and ideologies. Nor should we classify them as myths and believe that we have dealt with some religious superstitions. Because, strangely enough, whatever is said in the Gospels, sooner or later, we find it in front of us.

The Gospels are present in all times and their presence becomes even more substantial when the absence of meaning prevails. Although the absence of meaning has transformed our world into a place of unbearable exile, the Gospels come to give meaning and content where nothing shines, where nothing is visible. With the Gospels, nihilism, which corrodes all expressions of everyday life, is confronted, and the futility of everydayness takes on a different content, which sometimes we would not dare to conceive.
