"The Itinerary", a poem by the renowned writer Konstantinos Manassis, is one of the most interesting texts of the 12th century literature, as it combines all the characteristics that make this particular era unique, but in an original and unique way. The genre experimentation that distinguishes the poem, with ideological and aesthetic elements reminiscent of the contemporary poet's epistolary and fictional production, its relationship with the theaters of the imperial family and the wealthy aristocrats, the intense self-centeredness and emotional charge of its creator, all these are issues that concern this research, the main part of which consists of the critical edition of the text, which differs in several points from the earlier one by K. Horna (1904). The edition is accompanied by a prose translation, and comments of factual, interpretive, metric and lexical nature. The study concludes with three indexes (of proper names, places and words of the text) and a map of place names.
