This second revised and expanded edition includes not only the new directives for public contracts that have been in force since April 17, 2014, namely directives 2014/23/EU (concessions for works and services), 2014/24/EU (classic directive), and 2014/25/EU (utilities), but also the national legislative framework that has been implemented since August 2016 and now covers all types of public contracts (works, supplies, services).

Thus, it includes and primarily analyzes the relevant provisions of Law 4412/2016, which transposed directives 2014/24/EU and 2014/25/EU into national law, and secondarily the provisions of Law 4413/2014, which transposed directive 2014/23/EU on concession contracts into Greek law, while providing a concise presentation of the preceding national legislative framework (Law 3669/2008, Presidential Decree 118/2007, etc.), which constitutes the current (timeless) law.

Finally, it interprets the provisions of EU and national law concerning the provision of legal protection in the field of public contracts. Therefore, it covers the provision of legal protection both during the pre-contractual stage and during the execution stage of the public contract, whether this legal protection is provided by the administration through administrative remedies or by the courts in the form of interim and final judicial protection.
