If I had to describe it in one word, I would characterize it as reliable and I would give it 4.5 stars. I have had it for 4 years now and I am very satisfied. Initially, unfortunately, it came with a misconfigured carburetor. It was neither easy to start nor did it rev up easily. These things happen and it was quickly fixed by adjusting the carburetor. Even though I am an amateur, the usage hours, when it is working, are 10+ per day. So far, it hasn't asked for anything and it works flawlessly. The anti-vibration system works efficiently (maybe a bit worse than the efco 8550, which was its predecessor). The shaft, although not comparable to the top series of Stihl and Husqvarna, is still much better than its Japanese counterparts.

Regarding the weight, I consider it to be equally heavy as professional machines that have 3+ horsepower and anti-vibration. Compared to any machine without anti-vibration, let alone the Kawasaki and Mitsubishi ones, it is obviously heavier. But in long and multi-day use, I think the extra weight is worth it. The handle is quite comfortable and ergonomic.

As for the starting, apart from the initial start in winter, which may require a little patience, it starts with half a pull at operating temperature. One observation, although it has a pre-filter on the air intake, especially in dry fields, the filter tends to get dirty quickly. Dust doesn't get inside, but it requires care and cleaning/replacement.

The plastics, although they have endured, are considerably thinner than the efco's. On the positive side, it came with an attilina head that efficiently cuts dry or green grass and bushes with a 4-4.5mm trimmer line.

In summary, for intensive/semi-professional use, given the price difference compared to the equivalent Stihl and Husqvarna models, it is definitely worth taking a look at.

Very good machine, I have it for 3 years and I use it professionally, it hasn't caused me any damage, the only downside is that it is heavy. Now, after a year, I bought it for 500 and now it costs 660

Professional machine excellent I have it for one year so far no problem. The only disadvantage is that it is a little heavy but with the attachment it has, it makes it a breeze.

I bought the machine in 2018 and since 2020 it constantly asks for money... I don't know if it's the mechanic's fault, but I've spent 200€ on a suit last year and 200€ this year on service and spare parts. Not the angle, not the bell, not the clutch. It even says it has a 5-year warranty. What warranty? A new machine costs 500€. It made me afraid to use it...

The machine is perfect. Incredible power. Perfect quality. As for the weight, with the vest provided by the company, you don't feel anything. It has enough fastening positions so that when you balance it correctly, you don't have any problems at all. Walbro carburetor. Shindaiwa is now at the top. Clearly a professional tool.

Worthy purchase after thorough research. I use it for amateur purposes but relentlessly for a 3-acre area. I have worked with it for about 30 hours and as it "settles", it improves even more! I used to own an old Kawasaki KBH48A which was also very powerful, reliable, and relatively lighter, but after 20 years and about 600 hours of operation, it started to "ask for" maintenance, nevertheless, it still works with its original cylinder piston!!! The Shindaiwa 510S is even more powerful compared to the Kawasaki, it is modernly designed, with anti-vibration features everywhere, very sturdy, and of quality comparable to the Japanese reliability of YAMABIKO CORPORATION (ECHO-SHINDAIWA-KIORITZ). It is so powerful that it often cuts through 4mm square nylon line!!! In its full load usage, it is also economical, consuming approximately just over 1 liter/hour of continuous operation with a 4mm nylon line in dense undergrowth!!! One disadvantage, however, exists in all similar quality brush cutters in its category, which is the increased weight, but it is compensated to a satisfactory extent by the very good professional equipment provided for free with the purchase. After 3 hours of continuous use, you start to get tired from the weight, but because it cuts very quickly, you have already accomplished a lot of work!!! I also want to note that it has a longer shaft compared to some other equally high-quality brush cutters on the market (e.g. OLEO MAC - EFCO), which personally serves me because the cutting head is further away from my feet, but it also serves well if someone wants to cut, for example, tall grass or vines up to a height of 1.5 meters!!! It is exactly a twin machine to the last screw with the ECHO SRM 520ES, but I chose it because, obviously due to marketing by the importing company (PAPALEXIS GROUP), this particular model is offered 50 euros cheaper, at 500 euros. It goes without saying that it requires proper handling and maintenance care in order to have a long lifespan, use only the oil labeled ECHO and lubricate the gearbox every 20 hours! In summary, its purchase is highly recommended, it is a true Samurai in its work, it has a 5-year warranty, Japanese technology, and I believe that at 500 euros and with 3HP, it is the most honest brush cutter on the market.
I am coming back after a year of using the machine (approximately 50 hours), everything is as described above. The only thing I have noticed is that the shoulder harness pads "opened up" in less than a year of use, something I did not expect from a heavy-duty harness that costs about 80 euros in the retail market! I take good care of it and store it in a closed space. I will try to mend it because otherwise, the shoulder pads will come off.
