I have learned to wear service boots. I have tried other types, but for many different reasons, I do not prefer them. After much searching and not being able to find service boots this time, I chose them as a good replica. I did not expect them to be so soft and lightweight. If they last long enough, I think I will continue to buy them and not look for something else. It is also important that they are Greek. If they continue to have a good price, all is well.
Very lightweight, a little heavier than athletic shoes, not leather, the lining inside is synthetic like foam, the insole is of medium quality, the sole is very lightweight but not of high quality, I don't know how durable it will be over time. The big advantage is that they are very lightweight. The tongue is synthetic like canvas, it may help make it waterproof but it won't breathe. I will come back after long-term use, I am coming back after three months of use, the lining has dissolved at the back of the heel and the tongue has torn, the plastic came off and became like a transparent curtain, the quality is unacceptable, I will not choose it again, choose something else. The other ones of the same brand that have a zipper are exactly the same thing, very cheap construction and cheap materials, terrible quality. As soon as I got them from the store, I had to repair them and add leather to the heel and change the whole tongue that was fake. In the end, it had cost me 40 euros when the average price is 65
The soft comfortable lightweight sole also has its "big disadvantage"... Short lifespan/durability. Other than that, it's better if the boots wear out than our feet!
I bought these boots for my military service and they have saved me. They are much better than what they give us, and what makes them stand out is their weight. I highly recommend them without hesitation!!!!!!!
For 57€ that I bought them to replace my military boots, they are fine. After a week of wearing them, they softened and the only thing they suffered after a month is a tear in the tongue seam. If they hold up until the end, they are worth it.
I bought them for my military service to be comfortable. One weighs 450g, the military boot weighs 1250g, a huge difference. The sole is soft, the leather is quite flexible, and they haven't tired me out any day. Considering their price, they are an excellent product. I don't have an opinion on their durability. If they last for 12 months of service, it's worth every last euro for me
Worn for 2 months and the sole broke in the middle, causing water to enter and obviously it is for throwing away...
Worn for 1 month, obviously lightweight and relatively comfortable but with a terrible smell (indicating low-quality material), torn on the heel and rusty metal parts. Unfortunately, the company did not cover the replacement within the warranty. Fortunately, the store where I purchased them covered me and replaced them at their own expense. Being a military person, I will not recommend these boots until the company improves them and changes its policy.
They were bought for running, after a certain number of kilometers I would use them at work (field), very comfortable for running as sports shoes, lightweight, very waterproof but it doesn't matter when you dive completely into the water. The shoes performed great in running but at work after thousands of hours wearing them, the sole gave up and due to my mistake, my toe got cut and was coming out from underneath, 2-3 heels were cut from the strong shovel I was stepping on because they were not nailed, and I cut the sole when I put my foot in a propeller to stop, it's a dog trust it
These boots are of great durability. I wear them daily for a year now, especially for gardening work. They are excellent for their price. Choose them with closed eyes. At first, until they soften, it is difficult but logical.
For those who say that the sole wears out quickly, they are right, but with 15 euros in a cobbler, they can add another sole to the sole and it lasts just as long
Today, 28-11-23, after 4 years of use, I bought again the same delivery scooter. I see that they improved the material from fabric to leather. The old ones are still wearable but not in the rain. I am still Stamatis 65, but I forgot the code. On 2-1-24, I see that they improved in rain, they didn't get wet like the previous model with fabric material. They need fat seal or varnish in the beginning until the leather softens. As for the inner lining, in the previous ones, I think the laces didn't release enough when I took them off, that's why they got damaged faster. I will be back soon.
I bought them because many colleagues had them. They are very nice on the foot and very comfortable. Really very lightweight. As for durability, time will tell, but they seem very high quality. Also, the tongue that some people mention seems normal to me. Recommend! 5 stars at first sight.
It has the grip of a rain boot. They are not suitable for any work, maybe just for walking, but even then, the outer coating on the heel area broke within 2 months. The only positive thing is that they have a very nice design.
These specific boots from aeropelma are just what you need for military service. From what I understand, the quality has decreased compared to before, but they are still definitely more comfortable than army boots. Rule of thumb, always get boots that are 1 to 2 sizes larger than what you normally wear. If you also add silicone insoles, your feet will have a very peaceful service. They are not meant for heavy duty, but they can be worn in an office on a rainy day. Tip: buy them a month before entering the army and wear them for 2 weeks every day with a coat of Camel varnish, but not the glossy one. The following 2 weeks, wear them for a few hours a day to break them in, with a coat of varnish every 3 days. When it's time to enter the army, they will be ready.
3 stars for the lightweight and comfort. However, durability is highly desired in boots and this particular model fails. I have had them since May '22. In the first week, the plastic tongue disintegrated. In six months, the inner lining started to disintegrate at the heel, while the sole has already worn out much faster compared to previous models from the company. I would recommend anyone considering buying them to explore alternatives.
The only positive thing about them is that they are comfortable and lightweight. However, their durability and quality are below average, with wear and tear in the known areas that those of us who have purchased them are aware of, within six months. They are only suitable for office use, not for heavy wear. Their cost should have been a maximum of 40 euros, but they have increased in price, like everything else, after all.
I have had them for two years, mainly for office use. They are comfortable, the leather is not very high quality, and the cover of the inner part of the boots has torn at the heel. I consider them decent for this price, but not for heavy use.
I had bought these boots on Dec 03, 2018, and I mainly used them on asphalt, with very few times stepping on dirt or rocks. The sole became like an F1 tire within 6 months. The tongue does not hold its proper shape and gets wrinkled, no matter how much you straighten it, resulting in blisters on the ankle area. The waterproofing is mediocre. It is lighter compared to a classic service boot. No, I would not buy them again, I would wait to be issued a service boot and until then, these are only for special cases.
DISGUSTING The right ones are 6 years old and were fine. The left ones, as soon as I got them, they put a fabric contour on the tongue made of leather, and with the rain, they took a bucket of water. Far away, they are for Peru in Latin America where it doesn't rain
After my service, I can say that these boots are not suitable for those serving in special forces. They are suitable for infantry and office personnel. Yes, they got me through my service, but they are not suitable for long marches, they are not suitable for cold water and snow, they leak water even from a drop. I tested them in mountain conditions, 5 days of walking, water, and cold. They are not stable and secure for the foot, they slip easily on the mountain, and if the foot sweats or gets wet inside, it starts slipping even more. Choose something else for special forces.
I have tried countless boots and tactical shoes in the field. By far the lightest and most comfortable boot, fully waterproof. I have had them for 1.5 years. Excellent and Greek!
The shoe is excellent from all perspectives and if you look at it visually, it is impeccable, incredibly lightweight. When you wear these specific boots, you feel like you can walk for hours, they don't tire at all and they don't hurt at all (personally for me). These specific ones are value for money and much cheaper than they should be...
Positive----Very good boots. They are ideal for office walks and for simple everyday use. Perfect for the army.
Negative----They are not for cold weather. Your feet get cold easily. So they are not suitable for cold days.
The best thing I have bought while in the army. It's worth the 60 euros I paid. I have been wearing them daily for 5 months for many hours and they never tire me. As for the design, I would prefer Design 7 but it is an old model and hard to find. I found it in a local old shop for 80 euros (no way). + the fact that they will also last for me outside, as I deal with work in the fields, etc. It's worth it, guys.
***EDIT: 1.5 years later and they still hold up! Because I have read a lot, mine turned out to be "dogs" though. The only issue is that the bottom has worn out quite a bit, but other than that, with a polish they look like new. No damage to the leather so far. After the army, I continued to wear them almost daily in the fields.
I completed my entire military service with these boots and they were worth their money. Cleaning was done with simple wipes and minimal polishing.
As for the negatives, the material on the back inner part of the boot at the heel area got damaged from daily use of 16+ hours and came off.
Very lightweight boot. The worst thing is that they broke internally in 3 days and cannot be fixed, a waste of money!
Three stars because.. Although they are very lightweight and comfortable, the tongue at the base of the laces is sewn over the leather of the boot. This means that a piece of leather is left on the inner side. And when you wear the boot, this piece from the inside folds and hits your foot, and after an hour it becomes unbearable. I made the same comment four years ago on a similar model and I was hoping that it would have been fixed by now. So another 10 euros now to the cobbler to sew or completely remove this piece from the inside. And finally, use leather for the tongue, this cordura wears out and you end up collecting small pieces of plastic after a while.
With 60 euros, it couldn't be suitable for all conditions! It easily breaks but it is light and comfortable
The boots are slippers compared to those of the army. They are definitely not as durable, but if comfort matters to you more, these boots are the way to go.
The new boots of the company have a rather waterproof fabric as a "tongue".. I attach a picture of the boot that I received...
(In a communication I had with the store, they told me that this is the new production type, so I didn't investigate further...)
Also, as mentioned before, the heel tore after 4-6 months...
The previous model, used daily for 2 years, I would still wear it if the sole didn't "melt"!!!
