3rd time I try them - different razor each time - and unfortunately the same result... Irritations and cuts that I never have with other blades. They may work for others, but I don't think I'll use them again. For example, my Gillette razors fit me perfectly.

I will say that it doesn't have durability... you break each blade in half and each half gives you a perfect shave... Shaving with the same blade personally causes irritation for me. But it's not a negative for me because their price allows me to change them constantly.

It takes the hair off like butter and leaves you with an amazing feeling! The second shave is more normal but still cuts like crazy, on the third one you feel the difference but it still cuts, I didn't even bother with the fourth. Now, with a razor that uses both blades, I imagine it will be even more durable. Awesome, I recommend it!

I used it for the first time with the Edwin Jagger DE89, which came with it as a free sample in 2019.
Since then, I have been using it not very often (alternatively with Astor / Permasharp / Gillette platinum / Gillette Ruby / Muhle) - I buy a dozen every year.
With a mild machine like the Edwin Jagger DE89, the Muhle R89 is one of the two best blades. Sharp, safe, no irritation.
With the aggressive Muhle R41, while I expected cuts and irritation, it is perhaps the best blade for me. Very effective, no cuts and no irritation (with Haslinger sheep milk or Mitchells' wool fat soaps).
Some claim that it cuts everything even without foam. Exaggerations! For me, good foam/soap is necessary for shaving, and it greatly determines the quality of the shave and the blade's lifespan.
As for their durability, without being Astor, it easily gives 6-7 good shaves with a mild machine and the soaps I mentioned above. With an aggressive machine, up to 4 good shaves, after which it still cuts satisfactorily, but you feel your skin being pulled (without visible irritation and redness).
I don't know if it's the sharpest, but it is sharp - effective and at the same time a gentle blade that makes you feel like it DIDN'T peel your skin after shaving.
Simply excellent for all machines at a non-prohibitive price (€3.5 for a pack of 10 blades in my last order)

I've been using it with the Muhle Traditional R 41 open comb for a few months now. I've never had a closer shave in my life. However, it requires great attention and learning because the slightest irregularity on the skin can result in irritation or cuts.
It's not a blade that will make shaving faster. Quite the opposite, I would say, but with exceptional results if done correctly.

Did you find this review helpful?Yes, they are the sharpest on the planet, but they only last for 2-3 good shaves, while providing the deepest exfoliation. For sensitive skin, they are a splatter, especially in open comb razors! Afterwards, they still cut, but under a microscope, they show signs of over-sharpening = irritation, like an Astra after 5 uses. If you want to waste money just because it's a famous, advertised brand and change it every 3rd shave or undergo years of skin regeneration, okay, buy them. Personally, I have bought and tried them many times in the last 15 years, but now the new and unused ones I have are in their box, wrapped in wax paper for emergency medical use because they cut, when new, like a surgical scalpel (they are the first choice for surgeons for scalpel blades), meaning they allow for perfect skin bonding.

I wanted to try it out of curiosity because of how popular it is as a sharp blade. It gives a good shave (maybe even better than other blades I've tried), but I didn't feel the sharpness I expected. Either my skin is "lifting" it or I use it very carefully or... it came out defective, hence the mixed feelings. Could it be that my razor doesn't fully utilize it? Μετά από τέσσερα χρόνια αποκλειστικής κατ'ουσίαν χρήσης δε βλέπω σοβαρή πιθανότητα να αλλάξω λεπίδες. Από τη μικρή ποικιλία που έχουν τα περισσότερα σούπερ μάρκετ οι Feather είναι σίγουρα καλύτερες.
Έχω καταλήξει στον εξής εμπειρικό "κανόνα" για τις Feather:
1ο ξύρισμα: ο διάολος αυτοπροσώπως! Πολλή προσοχή και καθόλου βιασύνες, αλλιώς η μούρη σου θα γίνει λες και μονομάχησες με τον Baraka (και έχασες)
2ο ξύρισμα: πολύ ευχάριστη αίσθηση και ομοιόμορφο ξύρισμα
3ο ξύρισμα: ΟΚ, αλλά μέχρι εκεί
4ο ξύρισμα: σπάνια φτάνουν ως εκεί. Τις περισσότερες φορές μοιάζει περισσότερο με γδάρσιμο.Ίσως στα χαρτιά να μη φαίνεται εντυπωσιακή επίδοση, ωστόσο είναι αισθητά ανώτερη από τον άμεσο ανταγωνισμό.

The difference is huge. Even after 15 shaves, it's still going strong, no pulling or cuts. I don't have particularly tough facial hair and I left it on for so long to test its durability. You don't need to search or experiment, you just get this one and you're good to go.
P.S. If you're scared or have a lot of cuts, try changing the machine. Maybe it leaves the blade too exposed or doesn't give it the right angle.

Most of the time, on the first use (new blade), they leave me with small cuts and irritation on the second and third pass, especially on the neck area. On the second and third use, they generally shave well, although they still require caution and avoiding shaving experiments.
The following rating is based on the following data: I have coarse facial hair and shave every 2nd or 3rd day, always using pre-shave and tallow-based soaps. The razor used is the Merkur Slant 39c.

Είναι κορυφαίες σίγουρα πολύ κοφτερές και υψηλής ποιότητας λεπίδες, είναι πιο συμβατές στο δέρμα πολλών. Προσωπικά δεν μου έκαναν το βαθύτερο ξύρισμα από όλες τις λεπίδες αλλά είναι στην κορυφή μαζί με τις επιλογές μου. Παρόλαυτα το smoothness και το feedback σε αναλογία με το κόστος και τη διάρκεια ζωής θα τις βάλω 4. Σε πολλούς διαρκούν πολύ σε αρκετούς άλλους 3 μόνο ξυρίσματα.

Δεν έχω παράπονο μέχρι στιγμής, αλλά αφού χρησιμοποίησα τις εξής λεπίδες απορώ μήπως δεν τις αξιοποιεί όπως πρέπει; Με βάση τις τόσες κριτικές, θα έπρεπε να κόβει πιο βαθιά από τις προηγούμενες λεπίδες μου (Bic Astor Stainless και Wilkinson Sword Classic), ή τουλάχιστον να αισθάνομαι λίγο διαφορετικά, εκτός αν κι αυτές θεωρούνται απ' τις πιο κοφτερές οπότε ανεπαίσθητα συνήθισα.
Οι λεπιδες ειναι καθαρα υποκειμενικο ζητημα. Μπορει στους περισσοτερους να τους βολευουν οι εν λογω λεπιδες, ομως στο δικο σου δερμα να μην ταιριαζουν και ειναι απολυτα φυσιολογικο. Πρεπει να δοκιμασεις πολλες διαφορετικες λεπιδες για να καταληξεις σε καποιες οι οποιες για εσενα ειναι καλες.
