And to confess unreservedly, I am unconditionally surrendered to the charm exerted on me by these brushes; as if each one touched me separately and enchanted me forever. I would say the same even if their inspirer, their creator, was not even a seventh cousin, I did not even know his name, or he was someone who had long disappeared from our known world, either as a physical entity or - along with his magical wand - as a rare species.
