I don't have special requirements for ultra-high speeds, so I haven't checked it on this aspect.

When you know exactly what you're buying and how to place it.
And I explain:
1) It does NOT work for three-phase power if the phases that the two parts of the KIT will be connected to are different. In these cases, you need something that utilizes grounding. Expensive devices like Devolo, for example.
2) There are devices that create "noise" in the electrical network, such as various transformers or high-power mobile chargers. Don't place it near them.
3) Power strips and such are strictly prohibited. Directly into the socket.
4) One last thing. If your house is from 1920 and the copper has turned green from oxidation, it's not the device's fault for lower performance than expected.

For over a year of use, it disconnects at least once a day and now it has started entering periods where it simply doesn't want to bring internet (while my connection is running normally). I have been using it for over 2 years continuously and it works flawlessly. I send internet from the 4th floor of the apartment building to the storage in the basement and the use I make of it is to stream video 24/7 from the wireless security cameras we installed in the building. The app it has is necessary to monitor the speed and to disable the energy saving mode that regularly disables it and causes disconnections.
Unfortunately, the electrical network here has various problems, so I'm not sure how much better it would work without them. It seems okay though

We always talk about the "TP-LINK TL-WPA4226KIT v5" kit, which of course is labeled as "TL-WPA4220 5.0" in its settings (in the tpPLC application or in the web interface).
- It was purchased to provide a reliable and more stable signal in a 55 sqm house of Γ shape. WiFi repeaters did the job, but they are not as stable.
- Very simple settings, only the pair buttons on the main and daughter devices needed to be pressed the first time. The whole house is covered by WiFi. Very stable connection, firmware update was also done.
There are some minor speed losses: in a 33 Mbps connection, the daughter device gives 29, when a dual band TP Link WiFi repeater gave more or less the same. Only on the first day, it had a glitch but I unplugged and plugged it back in and since then it has been very stable.
It goes without saying that these devices must be plugged directly into the socket, not into splitters or power strips. That's why if you don't have plenty of sockets, a passthrough device is definitely needed (meaning it provides the socket, it doesn't occupy it). In this model, the main device is passthrough, but the daughter device is not.
Because another daughter device was needed - but it had to be passthrough - to connect to a computer via Ethernet (so WiFi was not needed), the "TP-LINK TL-PA7017P v4" was also purchased. It's a different product. Since the powerline network was already set up, it didn't need anything. It was plugged into the socket and immediately provided perfect internet to the PC. So at any time, you can buy any single device (even if it's not the same model) and expand the network. The only requirement is that it supports the Homeplug AV and/or Homeplug AV2 protocol, which is true for the majority of TP-Link products currently available. I read somewhere that you can also use devices from other brands (e.g. Devolo, DLink), but I wouldn't try it.
It is questionable whether it can cover a large house. Probably not, I believe more devices are needed. It is also questionable whether it can work well in a multi-story house, as well as what exactly happens in a three-phase power supply.

It does exactly what it promises. It has an easy installation, but for someone unfamiliar with technology, if something goes wrong, I believe they will have a hard time with the settings. It connects with other Powerline devices from the same company and is easily managed through an application (android and pc). With a software update, it had a significant increase in performance. Depending on the room, wiring, and distance, its performance may vary. Overall, for its price and the internet speeds we currently have in Greece, it's great.
Not even 1 year later (11 months), suddenly instead of getting 30mbps, I started getting 9 without any reason. And it definitely isn't a problem with my line because another computer directly connected to the router has no internet issues.
Disconnects all the time, for the money I expected something much better. And yes, I have followed all the instructions and advice of the company.
Both this kit and two other tl-wpa4220 v4 were installed to replicate the SSID of the router in a guesthouse in order to have sufficient signal in all rooms.
So far, so good. I followed the instructions and set everything up as needed. Everything is working perfectly. I will provide feedback from the owner after the season...

Perfect. However, be careful as it may have issues if you plug it into a power strip. The main end that I plugged into a power strip with a safety fuse worked fine, but the other end that I plugged into a power strip randomly disconnected as soon as I connected my PC to another socket.
I confirm that it works on a 3-phase system with different phases. Its WiFi is quite strong (stronger than an average Cosmote speedport router). It's worth every penny!
I have it here for two months. While the socket worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi device had many issues with signal loss or low power. Without an upgrade to a 100 Mbps line, you won't have a good and stable signal. And I'm not referring to a two-story house, maisonette, stairs, basement, etc., but to a regular apartment. Anyway, does the connection not have interruptions and then, after the line upgrade, I have a satisfactory signal in all rooms (as long as not 5 devices are connected simultaneously...)?
Very good, easy to install (powerlines do not work in power strips, so you need to use a suko to plug it in there).. I have had it for 1 year and it has served me well.. I face issues when I overload it with devices like 2 mobile phones, a PC, and my Xiaomi TV box, it disconnects sometimes, which is understandable considering its technology.
Excellent! It connected immediately just by pairing the two devices... with a distance of 20 meters and 3 walls in between (router/adapter and extender), I get a strong signal in my room.
In the network (100 Mbps), I have connected: a smart TV, 2 laptops, 3 mobile phones, and a desktop PC playing an online FPS game with a stable ping of 55ms.
If this isn't value for money, then I don't know what is!
UNIQUE!! From the ground floor, I have internet (wifi) with excellent speed (slightly lower, of course) on the 2nd floor where before I had absolutely no trace of wifi! Excellent in every aspect!

I had a similar problem with a previous TP-Link powerline in the past.
I had a 50 Mbps internet connection and I could barely reach 12 Mbps.
I made the mistake out of ignorance and initially plugged it into a power strip.
I run the test, it shows 10.5 Mbps.
I felt like crying because I thought it was another failed purchase to increase the speed.
I realize what I have done, I change the plug and directly connect it to the wall.
I start running the test. And it shows a speed of 49 Mbps.
I had never seen such speed even though I paid for it for a year.
I kept my hopes low in case it drops again in the next few days, but no, it works fine, I would say even better than before, as I have seen it go up to 55-60 Mbps.
It has disconnected 2 or 3 times in a quarter.
Which I don't consider very serious, as before the disconnections were 2-3 per hour.
The truth is, I have been reading about powerline for years and I thought they were exaggerating, that's why I was hesitant to spend money to buy one. However, I was wrong.

Very good and reliable product, but unfortunately it can easily become dysfunctional due to other factors.
My experience is sufficient since I have purchased two such sets (in different houses, on different floors) and I can say that they now function consistently and flawlessly. Many report disconnections and they are right. What I have noticed is that in most cases, the disconnections are due to user errors or issues with the electrical system of the house.
1. These two devices should be plugged directly into the socket, without using any other power strips, etc.
2. You should try different sockets because it doesn't work perfectly in every case. For example, in my case, when I plugged it into an "external" wall socket, it would disconnect every two hours. Eventually, it turned out that the issue was with the specific wall because it had recently been exposed to a lot of moisture. When I plugged it into another socket in the same room (but this time an internal wall), it worked perfectly without any disconnections.
3. In the case of different floors, the two devices should be placed as close to each other as possible from a vertical perspective, not one at the bottom end of the house and the other at the top end.
4. It is logical for some disconnections to occur less frequently, so restarting once a week helps.
5. If the disconnection problem persists, what others suggest here regarding the firmware might help. In my case, I never needed anything like that.
Overall, it is a set that has successfully solved my coverage and internet speed problem. Stability, maximum speed, and high range.

I have it for about 2 months in a 113sqm house, one at one end and the other at the other. I have stable internet without any loss and without any disconnection.
Purchase for improving the Wi-Fi signal in two separate houses at a distance of 10m with 3 intervening walls. Connected to the same DEH network - 50 Mbps router program -, significant losses, but finally I have a Wi-Fi signal around 16-20, although I had to connect it to a power strip. In the same space, I also have a tp link extender (I don't know if it helps).
In the same house (apartment), it was used because I wanted better coverage from the living room, which was the modem, to the bedroom. We're talking about a distance of up to 15 meters.
The WiFi is terrible! It disconnects quite often, but the worst part is that it has a serious speed degradation. In the living room, I measured 23.9 Mbps, and in the bedroom, it's around 14-15 Mbps.
If you connect the second unit (client) with Ethernet, you have stability, but you still experience signal losses. I saw somewhere around 18 Mbps speed.
I had a Tp link WiFi extender, and it did an amazing job. It had a loss of around 1-2 Mbps without losing signal at all.
I regret changing it, and I will definitely get another extender because it's unbearable.
It was purchased to transfer the network from the central socket where the router is located to the adjacent room where the television, PC, and PlayStation are located. Καλησπέρα. Έχω το TL-PA7010P KIT V3 το οποίο χρησιμοποιώ μόνο για να έχω internet τηλεόραση στο δωμάτιο μέσω ethernet και θέλω να πάρω το ΚΙΤ για να έχω Wi Fi. Μπορούν να συγχρονιστούν ή πρέπει να πάρω επιπλέον και μονό Passthrough???? Ευχαριστώ εκ των προτέρων.
