It does exactly what it says. I tried it on my natural black hair and it gave a beautiful violet-burgundy color. It has good stability and washes out easily. Once it dries, the color doesn't transfer onto the skin or clothes. I struggled a bit because my hair is very curly and it slightly affected my curls. I will try other shades as well, for a temporary "game" it is excellent.
