The book by philologist and psychologist Michalis Levendis, "Psychotherapy Exercises: Dialogue with God and Man", is rather unusual. A person, the author himself, engages in a dialogue with his "inner self", with the "spark of God that we all carry", and the result, as one quickly realizes, is impressive. We are able to "communicate" with an inner interlocutor, and who can this be? Can we confess to him what troubles us and accept answers? And if such a thing is possible, how is it done? Is it easy? Is it safe? Is it healthy and "legitimate"? Where can this specific process lead you? Are you able to do it alone or do you need external supervision and assistance? Is it worth it? And furthermore: How useful will it be for others when such a dialogue comes to light and the writer exposes his positions? The main goal of this particular book is to show in a simple and clear way a path towards inner freedom. But the literary virtues of the work, those that will be distinguished by those who are particularly engaged with them, are by no means negligible. The author has been serving in writing for years, especially in poetry. In short: it is a book intended for both the mind and the heart of every reader.
