  I had it on an east-facing wall that only gets sunlight for 4 hours every morning.
  I had installed it 5 years ago.
  Suddenly, a stray cat stepped on it and the plastic "protective" cover of the glass broke because it had been "burned" by the passage of time.
  It broke at the point where the screws hold it, causing the glass and the sealing gasket to come off. The gasket is plastic, not rubber.
  When I opened it up, I saw that the shower head is ceramic, but the base that supports it on the ceiling is plastic (not a little metal bracket) and it had been damaged by time... it rubbed off easily with my hand, breaking into small pieces effortlessly.

  Now, the new "shower head" that I bought is 1 euro more expensive, but it is made of aluminum, with a ceramic shower head, a metal base to support the shower head, and a rubber gasket. (VK 01005/G).
  I hope it lasts longer.

  Very good value for money product. If you protect them from prolonged exposure to the sun, then I think they will last a lifetime. I have them in the sun and in the rain, and I change 1-2 every 4 years, but with a cost of 3 euros each, I don't think we even need to discuss that they are worth buying.
