The "Introductions" are a summary of all branches of commercial law, providing sufficient supervision in this vast and inaccessible field of knowledge. The educational goal of the work is served by the possibility it offers for relatively quick revision, consolidation, and assimilation of knowledge acquired from analytical textbooks.

The second edition of the work became necessary after the legislative flood of the last decade, which literally left no institution of commercial law untouched. The work is supplemented by the provision of a detailed alphabetical index.
