Description

The Cort X100 electric guitar is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate guitarists who desire a quality guitar at an affordable price. Its pickups offer a clean and powerful sound, making it ideal for rock and metal music.

HH Pickup Configuration (Humbucker-Humbucker)

This layout includes two humbucker pickups, which are positioned at the central pickup and bridge pickup locations of the guitar.

The Humbucker pickups offer better response to low frequencies and bass sound, as well as greater resistance to noise. This makes the guitar suitable for powerful riffs and solos.

Equipped with passive pickups, which do not require external power to operate. Specifically, the passive pickups work using magnetism and produce a signal that is inversely proportional to the movement of the strings.

Neck construction from Maple wood

The Maple wood used in the neck is an important element for the guitar's acoustics, as it produces a bright and precise tone resulting from the wood's hardness.

Body construction from Meranti wood

Meranti is an extremely hard and durable wood, with moderate density. The sound it offers is warm and full, with a good overall balance of frequencies.

Fretboard made of durable Jatoba wood

The fretboard of the X100 has 24 frets and is made of Jatoba wood, which has a fairly high degree of hardness and durability. It features a reddish-brown color and produces a balanced, rich sound in the low and mid frequencies.

Classic ST Body Shape

The ST body shape it features follows the lines of one of the most widespread electric guitars, like the Stratocaster. Its design has a double-cut body for access to the highest frets and an extended "horn" on the upper side that offers perfect balance during upright playing.

With a wide range of supporters, including Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, David Gilmour, and Jeff Beck, it is clear that the ST Style shape can handle virtually any musical style.

Vintage Tremolo with 6 Screws

The vintage style tremolo bridge with 6 screws transfers more energy from the strings to the guitar body for greater acoustic resonance, while providing excellent tuning stability.

The Cort X100 has a nice sustain and quality distortion for extreme metal. It is perfect for both metal and rock. I use the American pedal Ceres KSR (you can find it from a Belgian).

    I tune the strings E and A slightly/little lower.
I tune the strings D and G perfectly.
I tune the strings B and high E slightly/little higher.

I do this because (if you know about instrument acoustics and spectral analysis) you have to tune based on the average of all harmonics and not just the fundamental. This way it has a great sound, otherwise it sounds out of tune between the neck and body.

Buy it and tune it as I say. With minimal deviations because if you overdo it, it sounds out of tune.

I prefer it over Jackson. If you want a nice extreme sound, buy the expensive pedal Ceres KSR which is absolutely necessary because it sounds like an amplifier!

For rock, blues, and jazz, use the One Control Persian Green Screamer pedal.
