I bought the game in summer 2020, I would play it 5 more times. It's simply incredible, fantastic gameplay, amazing graphics, interesting story, and above all, an AMAZING soundtrack. If someone is thinking of getting it and they like FPS shooters, I recommend it with closed eyes. However, I would suggest playing DOOM 2016 first (equally perfect) to understand the story a bit and get into the atmosphere dynamically. Totally worth it!

Huge arsenal and wonderful setting.
And this can be the thorn for some... the setting and excessive violence obviously are not for everyone.
Personally, I consider it the best Doom ever released. It is the most complete and enjoyable.
At the price it is now, around ten bucks, get it yesterday and you won't regret it.

Ήταν η πρώτη μου σοβαρή απόπειρα FPS παιχνιδιού με joypad και μπορώ να πω οτι ίσως να έπρεπε να ξεκινήσω με κατι πιο εύκολο! Γενικά ομως το game, εάν του δωσεις τον απαραίτητο χρόνο σε αποζημιώνει στο 100%. Εκπληκτικός Ήχος και πολύ ωραία γραφικά.

It has infinite action, a lot of movement, a lot of slaughter, much shinier graphics compared to the previous one, extra weapons. Especially with the meat hook of the Super shotgun, you can do wonders. But it is quite difficult to play on the PS4. The weapon change is not as fast.
Also, it has a clearer story this time which you can read along the way (if you want).
The previous Doom made me a little anxious, it was a bit darker. I enjoy playing this one more. And the Doom slayer has many bad ass moments that make you enjoy it a little more.

Prefer up to the second difficulty level because it becomes annoyingly difficult afterwards, and the point is to enjoy the game without wasting time on multiple restarts. However, it's not a game that keeps your dedication unchanged so that you can be there for many hours without getting bored... it gave me the same feeling as the previous one. Maybe it's just me, maybe others experienced it too, but anyway, for the price it costs, it's okay!
* Summary 28/3/21, Just finished it, enjoyed it, although it was quite difficult and there were many restarts even on the easier levels. Much bigger compared to its predecessor, maybe even triple. One thing that bothered me more was that it requires quite a bit of multiplayer in order to unlock platinum. Other than that, it was quite enjoyable.

New demons, abilities, and weapons have been added. The combat is very well-crafted, with each enemy having a weak point or vulnerability to a specific weapon. Personally, I played the game on the third highest difficulty (ultra-violence), and I can say that once I got familiar with the game's mechanics, the difficulty felt quite balanced. To finish the game on this difficulty, dedication, the use of all weapons, and patience are required. The story is nothing special. You are the doom slayer and you are trying to save Earth. That's it! The music fits the game very well and gets you pumped up as you slaughter demons, and the sound is quite good. The graphics seemed similar to its predecessor, Doom Eternal, but this game has a richer color palette. One thing that tired me out to a certain extent is the platforming element of the game, which becomes repetitive and boring. Another positive aspect is the level design, as well as the game's world, which offers a lot of exploration. Apart from the collectibles, you will find other items that upgrade various abilities of the character and make things easier for you in the future. Additionally, each map has challenges where, if completed, you will receive upgrade materials. For those interested in platinum trophies, I have to say that without actively pursuing trophies, I have completed 40% of the game. With a second playthrough and some multiplayer, I will definitely achieve platinum. If you have a PC, play the game there to have more FPS; you will definitely enjoy it more. Personally, I noticed a delay in weapon switching, but I don't know if it's due to my controller (which I've had for 3 years) or if the game has some issue. On PC, I saw that the switch happens instantly. Overall, the game is quite good and entertaining, and definitely worth a try at its price. (When I play the DLC in the future, I will share my opinion on that as well).

Much better than the already very good doom (2016)
Beautiful graphics, non-stop action, better story as it provided more information about the protagonist, and let's not forget the epic soundtrack by Mick Gordon!
Every time you fight demons, you feel that the game becomes more difficult... This is because each enemy requires a different strategy and every weapon is now useful... Which I didn't mind at all...
Two nice additions are the following: cheat codes and weapon customization, armor, etc...
The cheat codes are fun as you can replay the game with infinite bullets and many other cheats...
The weapon and armor customization is pretty okay, but for some reason, it excited me a little more than it should have...
In summary, an epic and perfect game... A fan of FPS games should give it a chance!P.S.: I have no opinion on the battle mode as I simply did not play it

Yes, okay, the purpose is slaughter, etc., but it becomes insanely tiresome halfway through. If the price drops to 40€, then okay, you can buy it. Overall, I will play it again but only with cheats to have as many bullets as I want. Generally, if you unlock the skill with the barrels that shoot bullets and then put the barrel back in the position it was shot from, you won't have a problem. The chainsaw helps a lot. In my opinion, wait for the price to drop. The BFG is a great weapon. Focus on unlocking the upgraded BFG from the castle, which requires 6 keys. The online game doesn't offer anything except skins for weapons and characters. When you unlock everything, put it back with all the cheats and full sound.

The platforming towards the end got a bit tiring for me (I think they overdid it), but I overlook it because the rest is exceptional.
The only negative thing is that I couldn't play for more than 2 hours in a row because it gave me a headache :P

You are constantly out of ammo and have to use the chainsaw to refill it. The problem is that the chainsaw has a 60-second cooldown, and combined with the hordes jumping on you while they need a full magazine to die, it makes the gameplay a big hassle. DOOM is supposed to be a game where you are the Boss and hunt demons to devour them, not the opposite. Running around the map waiting for my cooldowns and searching for bullets makes me feel like I'm playing a survival horror game, not DOOM.

Each arena (when fighting demons) is increasingly difficult but without making you feel weak. The game wants you to think and play smart, not just pull out the rocket launcher like in the previous game and go "haha rocket launcher go boom".
For those who say that the game doesn't have enough ammunition, they probably forgot about the chainsaw that turns basic demons into pinatas. If they feel that tearing demons apart is repetitive, they should play another game.
When you finish the campaign, there are Master levels, finding all the collectibles, and Battlemode if you believe you are a good Slayer or want to play as a demon.
Honestly, it saddens me to think that someone won't play this game because they believe it is small or poorly made.
