By far one of the worst FIFA games, maybe even the worst ever released....the defense is awful...almost impossible to control....the slowest player in stats can become the fastest....unbelievable lag....not to mention the goalkeepers.
For me, the best FIFA games were 15, 17, 18 and maybe a little bit of 21.
Quite a good game to pass the time in singleplayer mode... However, it has some problems. Firstly, it doesn't have the Greek championship. Personally, in multiplayer, it never lets me in and I wait for no reason. Lastly, in such a popular game, I would prefer if they used AI a bit, for example, having some players argue with each other when there is a foul, having the commentators not say the same things in every match, and generally having some minimal plot to make it more realistic
The fact that it has such a low rating is ridiculous... the game is great both in gameplay and AI, the story mode simply shouldn't exist, apart from that I didn't find anything else negative. Don't listen to all the beginners who don't know what they're talking about. Personally, I got it for €10 from the PS store, just like I will get FIFA 21, because obviously paying 60+ for almost the same game every year is a rip-off... that's all, thank you
Guys, it's pitiful. FIFA 18 is by far the best. As for the graphics, it's really good. But the gameplay is just terrible. Luckily, I only got it for 15€ because I would never pay 60€ for it.
Very good game, the career mode is great and the multiplayer sometimes can lag in fouls and the latency is huge but it's not something that bothers the gameplay. If you're looking for FIFA, it's the best choice.
I have been playing Fifa 17 for years, which for me is still the best. I play this particular one because a friend of mine has it and it is truly a different game, no comparison to 17. The players are slower and die, the gameplay is truly awful to the point of exhausting you. I have set the game speed to the maximum and it is still heavy and slow. Additionally, the defenders are nowhere to be found, they don't mark like in 17, and the goalkeepers concede ridiculous goals. Overall, the whole game reaches a point where you want to break everything, so just don't buy it.
Another year where I simply wasted money, for a game with zero improvement, clearly EA has somehow made it impossible to build a good team in UT without spending money... the career mode has no progress, so disappointing... overall, I have to say the gameplay is classic, you aim at your right back, he gets unmarked and passes it to the goalkeeper, where you lag behind and score an own goal... just to have the nerves, for me the worst FIFA, the most frustrating, I consider it worth 2-3€ if it goes down, then get it and use it as a frisbee
This thing of spreading hate without even playing the game needs to stop.
The graphics are great, the story mode is amazing, and the new Volta is fantastic. It has many modes, which makes it 20 times more interesting than previous versions. Now that the price has dropped, it's worth more than FIFA 21, as the game is not well-developed (it's not a coincidence that when FIFA 20 was first released, it was much more expensive than FIFA 21). The game's draft is the best thing about it. Simply put, it's the best football game so far.
After 9 months, I think it's my turn to evaluate the game. It seems to get worse every year, even though I've been playing only FIFA for years.
Positives:
1st: It has nice and accurate physics and graphics.
2nd: If you play with a friend, it's also fun and enjoyable.
Negatives (mainly online, which almost everyone who plays FIFA deals with):
1st: If the game wants you to lose, you will lose and there's nothing you can do to change that. Sometimes you wonder if someone is playing a joke on us here.
2nd: The goalkeepers are terrible. One moment they won't concede a goal, and the next they'll concede everything. There's no consistency, so to speak.
3rd: The defense made by the defenders is tragic.
4th: Opponents pass by your players and they just sit and watch. If you don't manually switch to the player and even if the opponent is just 1 meter away, they literally don't care at all. They stay completely still and stare at them. The defensive system is absolutely terrible.
Average if you play with a friend. Generally terrible. The online is the worst thing that has ever happened to the series. Everything depends on momentum and whether the "game" has decided to favor you. Full toxic community, with players constantly pausing to delay you or starting the passing game between the backs when they score 1-2 goals.
The worst thing about this football game is really:
1. The slowest defender can suddenly catch up with the fastest player.
2. No movement forward ever.
3. The defense is the worst.
4. The goalkeeper seems like he's not even playing.
5. The opponent's striker, even if they're slow, will suddenly become Usain Bolt.
6. The goalkeepers and opponents suddenly catch everything and don't let anything through.
Okay, that's all I had to say... in my opinion, don't buy it
I want to make a realistic review without hiding behind my finger and relying on truths. First of all, I will start with the NEGATIVES. I always buy FIFA used at an excessively low price because, yes, it truly does not deserve it, it does not justify, it does not honor its name, and the reputation of the company that it belongs to for what they present and promote to the public in recent years, and this concerns a large percentage of 1) gameplay and 2) graphics, elements in which the pro excels.
Now, onto the POSITIVES. I became a FIFA fan since 2013 for the much-discussed and obvious reasons. Also, because it is light years ahead of pro in all aspects (let's not repeat the same things over and over again), and because "yes, guys, I love FIFA for what it is and for that something it has, with the additions it has, and it excites me every year and will continue to excite me." For those of you who are getting it for the first time, take your time and get involved, don't rush to judge it, there are many things you need to discover.
FIFA has variety, it is for those who enjoy getting involved in various details and activities, while PRO is for a little match with your friends and nothing more at the moment.
We are talking by far about the worst gameplay I have encountered, not in FIFA, but in a game on the PS4 in general! Those of you who play on low difficulty levels, I don't know if you will have a problem, but those of you who are long-time FIFA players and play on world class or legendary and know a little more about football, you will never feel so insulted. I'm telling you, the people who programmed it are clueless!
The players never move into open space, all the passes are deliberately contestable, many times they don't even obey the laws of physics (for example, the ball bounces down and accelerates!), there is no consistency in power (one time you barely tap the button and make a 60-meter pass, and the next time you press it all the way and it comes out like a balloon pass). 19 out of 20 shots from outside the box always find the defender, no through pass goes through as if the players are clueless and pass it to the defender, or as if the defender has a magnet. 4 out of 5 crucial passes that would lead to an opportunity will be completely wrong (for example, you try to pass for your teammate to go one-on-one and end up passing it to a teammate who wasn't even in the plan...), if you play against the CPU, you will concede half of the goals either from rebounds or blind passes, and overall the difficulty at high levels lies in the ridiculously wrong actions from the software. Finally, the AI is completely non-existent (as always in FIFA), with players functioning the same way whether they have a defender on them or not (for example, two defenders will chase you, you shoot, and the guy shoots with a pass as if he is alone - we're talking about RIDICULOUS things).
I don't know if they hired any Japanese programmers who may be very good in their field but have NO IDEA about football. It's like putting me to program hockey. And I repeat, I'm talking about the high level, those of you who play on professional and below may not perceive the problems and have a good time. The rest of you, even if the game costs 1€, don't buy it.
This disgrace is not FIFA this year. Gameplay online for 5-year-olds with funny goals, three and a little, with volleyball results, with passes and goals out of nowhere, defense non-existent as always, and realism has gone for a walk. I really regret the hour and the moment I bought it. A thousand times 18 and 19. Delete and reinstall the previous ones.
Guys, I have a question. Will this game ever realistically rate the players? It has way more haters than it should and the other haters are greatly underestimated. Also, in FUT, without PS Plus, you can't earn money for your team even if you play for a year. Finally, I expected there to be more developments in Career Mode, but as usual, EA is stealing from us
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the bad matchmaking in fut, as soon as I started it put me against higher-ranked players and that the game is pay to win
It's worth as much as the previous FIFA games, but it has one more positive aspect that I didn't expect! The FIFA Volta included in the CD is the best thing! For me, it's superior to Alex Hunter!
Owner of both games (pes-fifa) noticed the following:
Positive:
1) Many team and league licenses, especially the CL.
2) Nice sound, especially the match commentary.
3) Fast gameplay.
Negative:
1) Unacceptable defense, in an online match against a better opponent, you end up losing 12-0 at halftime and it's frustrating (especially in FUT).
2) To catch up with very good players when they run, you need to use a lob... and if someone has a good goalkeeper and you have a mediocre attacking player, you can't score at all.
In my personal opinion, they tried to incorporate the type of gameplay that VOLTA has into the 11vs11 gameplay and they lost it there... especially when defending with jockey, the players seem like they're ice skating.
I have both PES 2020 and FIFA 2020. The graphics of FIFA are satisfactory, but in no way comparable to PES (PES is superior in class). Also, Volta is a nice addition to have a pleasant experience. Apart from that, everything is terrible. The defenses are a mess. It's like marking done by 10-year-old kids. Ultimate Team puts you against much stronger opponents. And of course, it is very expensive. It's not worth it at all. It's better to get PES 20 so you don't waste your money
I bought the game on sale for €20 instead of €70, which I considered a huge opportunity as it is a game that several people recommended to me.
POSITIVES
- The kick-off mode is the classic one that we know, and obviously, for EA, there are only 4 Greek teams (PAOK, AEK, PAO, OSFP).
- The graphics of the game are amazing, and we all have to admit it.
- I don't focus on the FUT mode as I play with an Ethernet cable, but if you don't have the game, it is unplayable.
NEGATIVES
- I started the FUT mode of the game with joy and immediately hated it when I just bought the game, so I don't even have a team to play with, and you match me with opponents who have definitely spent over €100, which just makes me hate you.
- Secondly, the rewards I get when I win a match, with 340 coins, EA has never played by anyone.
FIFA has changed quite a bit... I started Ultimate Team with enthusiasm and I quit immediately. The reason is because in Rivals, I constantly get matched with a team of 187 while I am 182. It simply doesn't make the game enjoyable. At least the career mode is very nice. Also, a very negative aspect is the defense. That's all I have to say, FIX THE GAME
Do not buy this game every year, it's not worth it. I have broken one controller and I will probably break more because I play career mode with Salford City and I play against bigger teams in the cups. There, I play better throughout the match with more possession and more shots on goal, but I still can't score. And in the last minute, there is a counterattack and a goal is scored, that's when the rage begins
Worst defense. Terrible gameplay. Average graphics. It's fine for 10 euros from the ps store. But not for more. However, if you play with a defense style according to the old FIFA games, then it's playable. But in ultimate mode, it doesn't have that option.
