The study of the Ascetic Discourses is not an easy task. Their content concerns the mysteries of God, which are reached by those who are deemed worthy by Christ. This new translation allows us to access a text that has triple difficulty: in language, syntax, and vocabulary. The translation solves the triple difficulty with a beautiful text that attracts us to its reading. The two philologists and translators (Giorgos Pinakoulas and Dimitris Koutsougeras) worked hard to give our language the brilliant work of an ascetic from the almost extinct Church of the East, in which our Fathers recognized themselves.
