This "Prayer Book" does not intend to replace any service of our Orthodox Worship tradition, which is essentially the work of the Holy Spirit. Its purpose is to live and delve into the treasury of each individual, in the secret and heartfelt prayer that is offered by every praying Christian. To provide an opportunity and occasion, place and method, for more prayer and thus contribute to the touch of man with Jesus Christ, of earth with Heaven, of the ephemeral with eternity. This work is quite incomplete. It does not even cover half of the real needs of modern man.
