The Basic VI 600 STL UPS Line-Interactive 600VA 360W with 2 Schuko Sockets from Powerwalker is a Tower UPS. It has 2 Schuko sockets as well as input and output for ethernet cable and telephone cable, protecting the devices connected to it such as a router or telephone (provided their power supply is also connected to a UPS or surge protector).
Its operation is (VI) Line-Interactive which continuously adjusts the output voltage through an automatic voltage regulator, protecting against voltage fluctuations and power outages. Its battery can last for 2 minutes at full load (when the connected devices draw the maximum current that the UPS can provide).

It is the choice with a good performance-price ratio for a line interactive UPS (with AVR/voltage stabilization), provided that your needs do not require a pure sine wave UPS (which is necessary for medical equipment or other expensive and sensitive equipment).
The VI 1000 STL by Powerwalker seemed ideal to protect both my modem/router so that I have telephone and internet for about an hour after a power outage, as well as to give me comfortably 5 minutes to safely shut down my PC, saving open files.
The points that distinguish this particular UPS are:
- It makes no noise at all, as it has no fans, nor is the voltage stabilization audible at all (in other UPS a small "electrical" sound is noticeable).
- It has only 1 battery 1x 12V/9Ah (which you can easily and cheaply replace when needed, after about 3 years). It charges from empty to 95% in 8 hours.
- It has RJ-45/RJ-11 protection, so it also protects the line from OTE to the router.
- With Power capacity 1000VA / 600W, you can easily, for example, plug in a power strip (simple, without voltage protection!) in one of the 2 sockets it has at the back, having of course calculated in an online power supply calculator how many Watts and mainly how many VA your devices consume. So, I have more devices connected that do not exceed by far the 1000VA / 600W max power, reducing of course the time it can keep them all on in case of a power outage.
- It has a beautiful LCD screen with all the necessary indicators (input voltage, output, operating mode, battery charging, etc.). And for some friends I read in reviews that they have the UPS next to their bed and the light bothers them to sleep, I inform you that here the screen turns off after a few seconds and turns on with a simple press of the button.
- The one and only button is multi-functional: a simple press opens the display of indicators, a double press mutes the various types of alarms that sound when necessary (e.g. battery activation during a power outage, low battery level, etc.), a long press activates-deactivates the UPS.
- Convenient size (96x138x286mm, short and elongated), fits very easily e.g. under the desk, without being a nuisance.
- With the available USB connection, it has monitoring capabilities without any software (Windows automatically recognizes it), but also with the user-friendly PowerMaster program it can control more UPS & PCs via the network (e.g. to give a command for a smooth shutdown of them).
- Overall, PowerWalker, judging by the country (Germany) and the quality of its website, inspires confidence, although between us, all components are Chinese.
EDIT - FEBRUARY 2023
Although the UPS had saved me many times during this period, the battery of the brand MB inside it did not last as long as it should have (see photo). I realized this in a recent power outage, as it did not even activate and everything turned off. It had been months since the last outage, it might have been dead even earlier than the 20 months. I easily found and bought a new one of the same specifications (12V-9Ah), I chose the Greek SUNLIGHT for 20 euros, I replaced it easily by myself (with a simple cross screwdriver you remove 4 screws from the bottom and pull out the cover along with the front panel - by the way, the cables and the poles of the batteries have colors, so everything is simple). I hope only this specific one will last the 3 to 5 years that its manufacturer claims. From now on, once every quarter, I will unplug it to test the battery from the bar on the UPS panel, because there is no reliability through software (not only with this, but with every brand of UPS).
Furthermore, I never connected the USB cable to my PC again because especially since I upgraded to Windows 11, during log-in, messages/logs like "connection lost from <specific time> to <specific time>..." would appear and delay my access to Windows. For a server that is always on, this wouldn't be an issue, but for a normal PC that is frequently turned on and off, and since monitoring or controlling multiple UPS units is useless to me, it's better this way so that I don't get frustrated...
EDIT - DECEMBER 2023
One afternoon, when I returned home, I found it had gone...TILT (constantly clicking on and off, continuously restarting without being able to output voltage). There was no power outage while I was away (a digital clock without memory in my room would have reset). I now remember that the same thing happened when I first plugged it in immediately after changing the battery, except back then, after 2-3 times of unplugging and plugging it back into the socket, it calmed down and worked normally. Anyway, I couldn't figure out if it's worth it or where to send it for repair (its warranty was for 2 years and expired in April, it didn't even last 3 years), and because I urgently needed a UPS, I bought a functionally and price-wise identical TURBO-X, which is working flawlessly 3 months later (April 2024), and I might even prefer it (but let's wait until its warranty expires to see).
I purchased this specific UPS (VI 2200 STL UPS Line-Interactive 2200VA 1320W with 4 Schuko sockets) in December to protect the server and monitor that I use for my work (I work in computer and electronics services). It was definitely an overkill purchase for the small load that the devices require, but I wanted to be very sure about their protection since they are of high value. It worked perfectly for almost a month, doing what it was supposed to do. Until one day, at an unexpected time and while the setup it was protecting was not even in use, it started beeping continuously and displaying the F09 error code. I contacted the store and explained the situation in detail (given my knowledge in the field), and they told me to send it back at my own expense so they could investigate what happened and if it is covered by the warranty. So, I decided to open it up with my colleagues to see what had actually happened (since the return shipping cost was almost the same as the price of the UPS). You can see exactly what happened in the photos. This particular product has far exceeded the level of danger. It literally BURNED and could have caused immeasurable damage to the store. The fortunate thing, as I mentioned earlier, is that the devices were not functioning at that moment, so we avoided the worst. It is a very mediocre and poorly made UPS, with the materials chosen for its implementation having the sole purpose of keeping the cost low, hence its price. Its MOSFETs (cheap Chinese ones) literally burned, drawing inexplicably high current capable of melting a 40A fuse! The only reason I am writing this review is to save someone else who might be tempted by the price. Stay away from this particular UPS and don't fall for the "warranty" trap.
The UPS is great. I have the 1000VA on a computer with a 700w power supply. My pc works with 450-500watt. It worked perfectly for 4+ years. Then it needed a new battery. Do not put a power strip on it. Check how big the UPS needs to be to support the pc. Do not have a power supply that is borderline with the watts the computer supports, as well as do not have a UPS that barely supports the pc. I did not give it five stars because some settings for automatic shutdown did not work for some reason. Also, in the application it shows you how much electricity you consume in €.
Stay away from this specific company, from the day I bought it, the PC never stayed open for even 1 second.
The battery died suddenly in just under 2 years and abruptly. It doesn't hold even a second.
I have bought three different ups from the same company, in the last three years.
This is the second one that breaks down, a few months after the warranty expires, just like the previous one.
I don't know if it matters, I bought all three from the e-shop.
I'm waiting to see what will happen with the other one, which is still under warranty.
We have purchased two UPS of the same brand (for two different computers) and so far we are very satisfied.
Here and for a week that I have it, it works great. I also tried and closed the general for a while and it worked as much as needed to be able to close the (it is power-hungry, to tell the truth) PC and monitor. In the future, I will see what duration it has.
It is silent compared to the previous one I had and it had annoyed me. There is a slight noise, probably from the coil. It doesn't even bother me. It is small, portable everywhere, also lightweight, and it probably has a battery by 99%. The screen displays useful information. I am satisfied for now with my choice. It will show in the future if I made the best possible choice for a UPS.
It withstands power outages very well, but that depends on what you have connected to it! I recommend it!!
Very good, it held up well during every break even though I don't know how much we closed it since we use it in a dental laboratory.
It appears to be sturdy and at least for me, almost silent, but I can't speak more because for now our good DEI is teaching us in continuous flow without interruptions! Summer in Rhodes usually guarantees 2 to 3 interruptions! I'm waiting and I'll be back.
28/11/2022 The interruption I was expecting happened today, the machine with 2 screens 1 Desktop 1 laptop and the router easily lasted 15 minutes, then I closed it because I had to leave, without any problems.
It comfortably holds a television, home cinema, router, and 2 NAS devices. During a blackout, it can keep them powered for about 5-6 minutes (works flawlessly during fluctuations). With the television and home cinema turned off, it can keep the router and 2 NAS devices powered for a very long time!
I do not rate it as excellent because I haven't had it for a long time.... However, it seems to be very good for its price... I use it for a Toshiba AIO and a FritzBox router!... So far, everything is okay... I also have a larger one from the same company (for 2 years now) which is great (for Dell Desktop)... If I had to buy again, I would buy the same brand again.... I hope I helped......

I use the UPS in question to protect my desktop and monitor. Because I live in an area with very poor power supply (Didymoteicho) where power outages and voltage surges occur frequently, it is truly necessary. Every time the power has gone out so far, it has functioned properly, giving me enough time to shut down my computer. However, I give it four stars because it has a very annoying high-frequency coil whine, which really almost drove me crazy when I was trying to sleep and there was absolute silence. In the end, I had to move it out of my room where it no longer bothers me.
Generally, because I am a patent holder, I discovered that in a large load, after an hour, an egg is cooked on top. I put a 40ah car battery and 2 fans, one to blow air and one to suck, and the temperature improved. Overall, I give it 4 stars because it raises the temperature too much and reduces the lifespan of the integrated circuits. Overall, it is good for its price. In future versions, it would be good to have a fan and protection against overvoltage
I haven't had the chance to use it for a long power outage yet. But when the weather is bad and there are momentary drops that affect other devices, the computer doesn't notice anything. Very satisfied with the purchase.
I recently bought the 800 model of the 480 W UPS with the purpose of connecting it to protect my Synology NAS, replacing a small cheap Eaton 5E UPS that I would use elsewhere. Therefore, I had low power requirements and didn't need a larger UPS. First, I will mention the positives of the UPS, which in theory were so many that, combined with the positive reviews, made me buy it almost excited:
(+) of course, the price for the 480 Watts, which is truly value for money, especially considering its other features that bring it ahead of the competition at this price.
(+) good build quality, sturdy
(+) small dimensions ideal for fitting in a small space like a shelf without being obtrusive (exactly what I was looking for to place next to my NAS). Very lightweight for a UPS.
(+) silent operation, if it didn't have the blue screen and the button, you wouldn't even notice it's working. It has low power requirements and that's why it doesn't have a fan. In short, it is a small and quiet device that can easily be "hidden" somewhere without causing any disturbance.
(+) bright LCD screen that displays essential information about the voltage, battery charge, etc. It's not just a black box, it informs you about all the above. A rare feature for such a low price.
(+) simple and safe operation with a central button for muting the sound and turning off the UPS
(+) AVR support, meaning automatic voltage regulation for even greater protection of devices
(+) Schuko sockets
(+) USB port for data to the computer, etc.
(+) protection for the home telephone network, e.g., the router
(+) the manufacturing company (BlueWalker GmbH) is a well-known German company and not some unknown Chinese company
(+) good UPS support with a variety of programs and applications for all types of operating systems and with many customization options regardless of the environment (corporate, home, etc.).
(+) in cases of two power outages, it worked immediately, as expected (almost as expected - I will mention below), keeping the devices on until I turned them off.
(+) I didn't notice any smell or excessive heat development, but I haven't used it for a long time.
Now let's move on to the negatives, which were a big disappointment for me and brought me back down to earth because, in reality, you get what you pay for:
(-) The biggest negative for me, and actually a deal breaker, was the USB port functionality and its very difficult (impossible for me) recognition by the NAS or computer. On the product page on PowerWalker, it specifically states that the USB port has HID support, which allows easy and direct communication with any operating system. Oh no! I had a problem with both my Synology NAS and computers with Windows. The main reason I bought it was to protect my NAS and give it a shutdown command when the power is cut off. Well, the NAS couldn't recognize it as a UPS no matter what, while until recently it worked perfectly fine with the Eaton UPS without any issues. It did recognize that a device (referring to some unrelated Chinese company, probably the manufacturer of the USB controller) was connected to the USB, but it didn't recognize it as a UPS. I followed some instructions on the site and on the internet, resorting to using the terminal, but I didn't get anywhere. Maybe if I had programming knowledge, I could have succeeded. The UPS may be defective, I don't think (I found elsewhere on the internet that it is a bit difficult in this field). Anyway, I decided to use it for my office computer since the 480 watts were more than enough. Still the same, Windows 10 recognized the device, but it was unknown to them! I downloaded all the programs available from the company's website, most of them were aimed at corporate environments, only one, WinPower, was aimed at regular users, but none of them solved the problem or recognized the UPS. I should mention that none of the other two companies, APC Powerhute or Eaton UPS Companion, had the same variety of software as PowerWalker for their UPS!!! So since I couldn't use it for the reason I bought it, which was for the automatic shutdown of my NAS or computer, I connected it to another computer that is not constantly on for 24 hours.
(-) The blue LCD screen is nice and bright, but there is no option to turn it off to avoid annoyance! They thought of giving the option to mute the power outage alarm, but they didn't do it for the screen, at least to turn off by itself after a certain time. If the UPS is in a bedroom, it will annoy you as the screen is particularly bright.
(-) Short power cable. Yes, you can use an extension cord, but compared to the other two UPS (APC, Eaton), it is shorter and also not detachable, so you can't use your own. It's a small inconvenience though...
(-) The 2 Schuko sockets seem few and I would like at least one to protect only from overvoltage.
(-) The Greek channel on YouTube "Hardware Busters" has done a detailed review of the UPS internals and they don't speak highly of its AVR function.
These are my main points, I started with a lot of enthusiasm for the capabilities and price of the UPS and ended up using it for a computer in my office that is not constantly on, so as not to waste it and use a bulkier APC UPS for my NAS. So, three stars from me, a good product for the money, especially if you just need something to keep your devices on in case of a power outage, but not so reliable, especially regarding the USB port and HID Support.
I only have a few days, so I can't have an opinion on its durability. The Dell Workstation I have (2 x Xeon CPU = 16 Cores) kept it for 40 minutes and made a nice smooth shutdown (I had many things that needed to close properly).
The accompanying software is a revelation for those who are tired of APC's black box (basically, it sets up a web app that you can see from any browser). You can adjust everything to an extreme level! A basic feature is that it can perform remote shutdown on other machines.
I always used to get APC. If it also proves to be durable over time, it will have to be the best UPS I've ever had (and I've had many).
I put it in the socket half an hour ago. I don't have an opinion if the battery lasts, I just noticed that it constantly "buzzes" - a buzzing noise - even when there is DEI power.
Because the room is quiet, it is annoying.
It was returned.
However, in terms of customization capabilities, I definitely admit that it is day and night compared to the APC, which has minimal settings.

Very high quality construction, amazing software that helps you set it up from your computer, very small and fits everywhere, silent and you forget that you have it. The only negative thing I find is that the screen does not turn off and it is permanently on. It's worth 100%.
I got it for about 100€ and it's definitely worth the money and more... I haven't tried it to see exactly how long it lasts, but with the two power outages I had, I had enough time to turn off the TV and PS5 without any problem and the battery didn't drain... I got it from the reviews I saw here. I've had it for 2 weeks. Today, suddenly and without power outage, it cut off the voltage on its own, causing the devices to shut down. Its load is not even halfway, I have only connected an Xbox and an OLED TV. I have to remove it because it will burn them without any power problem if it happens again... I wasted 80 euros only for garbage unfortunately. I don't know which brand of UPS to go for anymore, but it definitely needs to have a bigger budget than I understood.
I bought the 1500 on 11/8, so far I have nothing negative to say, on the contrary, because until now I had UPS devices of the TURBOX brand from a well-known chain, this one seems to me to be much superior... I have a desktop with a 750w power supply, the PC screen which is also a TV, a LED lamp, and an inkjet printer (be careful with printers, it's not the best idea to connect them to a UPS, especially laser printers, they can cause damage). I also have a power strip with mobile chargers plugged into one of the sockets. The UPS is directly connected to a wall socket. The load with all these devices (the PC simply turned on without performing any heavy tasks) is at 17% according to the installation program downloaded from the company's website (https://powerwalker.com/index.php?page=powermaster&lang=en), it works perfectly fine on W10 pro 64BIT and helps a lot in configuring and controlling the UPS. During a battery duration test with 17% load, it lasted for over 15 minutes and still had enough power, but I stopped it. The sound that is heard when the power is cut off can be stopped with a double click of the device's button, or you can disable it from the program. It also has a small fan at the back that operates continuously to cool the internals, but personally, I don't hear it at all because it is obviously overshadowed by the PC's fans. The UPS screen is set to turn off after a few minutes. Also, the two batteries inside are very easy to replace. I highly recommend it for home or office use, in case someone does not need to connect very sensitive specialized devices that require a pure sine wave output.
As UPS works fine, I would like larger batteries, but that would make it bigger and more expensive.
