At the end of the book "Taktika", attributed to the Byzantine Emperor Leo VI the Wise and composed around 900 AD, 294 maxims or rather commands are presented on how a war can be won with the fewest possible losses. These are maxims that, despite their timeless value, have been studied very little until now. The author of this book attempts, therefore, to classify them, to identify their original sources, but mainly to clarify them from their occasional envelope and to elevate them to basic principles of "bloodless" victory in any significant struggle or confrontation. The ambition of this book is, therefore, for these maxims to become classical rules of strategy and tactics, useful to anyone facing difficulties in their everyday life, especially under the conditions of adversity that we all experience today.
