I replace it every year. Additionally, when the water flow decreases, the surface of the filter can be cleaned with a clean dish sponge. It significantly improves the quality and taste of the water.

The filter was purchased together with the device... I connected it as the instructions said and looking at the glass in the light, I noticed small fiber particles inside the filter... I contacted the store where I bought it and they told me to send it to the company for them to see... I sent it and they called me and told me that the filter is fine and that what I was seeing were bubbles... despite what they said, they will send my filter back with an additional gift (even though my own had no issues, the company gives gifts)... it arrived after 4-5 days... but only one filter, probably new... the new filter still releases small particles inside the glass, although less frequently than the original one, but we have to check what we drink in every glass, not to mention that in one glass we usually throw away 2-3 more that have issues... I will not buy Doulton filter again and when I change, I will choose another company... the device is quite good so far...
