It is polarized, meaning it expects a specific live/neutral arrangement contrary to the standard that states that outlets are not polarized.

However, this is not mentioned in any manual. This can lead to possible indications of live/neutral reverse and the relay will not trip with the test button.

In this case, connect it oppositely and try again.

In short, it works, but it lacks good documentation.
