The smartwatch that takes care of you. The Galaxy Watch3 combines the productivity of a smartphone and the latest technology in a premium classic device. The Galaxy Watch3 is a smartwatch that will help you manage your daily life and monitor your well-being.
It is mainly aimed at those who are looking for an advanced smartwatch with extensive features for health monitoring, personal organization, and communication.
Note: Some features such as the Email app and Samsung Pay are not available on non-Samsung phones.
Thin, lightweight, combined with a large screen
With this unique design and large screen, it is now easier to focus on what matters. The new Galaxy Watch3 is slim, lightweight, and small in size, while the steel gives a refined look to your wrist.
Monitor your wellness from your wrist
Blood Oxygenation
The Galaxy Watch3 uses LEDs and infrared rays to estimate SpO2 levels or the amount of oxygen in the blood. Since oxygen saturation is directly linked to physical fitness, you can use the Galaxy Watch3 to improve your performance.
Blood Pressure Measurement & Monitoring
Check your blood pressure through the Samsung Health Monitor app. Before the first use, simply set it up and the sensors will measure your blood pressure through pulse wave analysis as you wear it. You can monitor it daily and receive reports directly on your phone.
Fall detection that protects you
Explore fearlessly. The Galaxy Watch3 with the built-in accelerometer automatically detects sudden falls and sends an "SOS message" to the emergency contact you have set, with your location.
Home Workout
Equipped with more than 120 home workout programs, the Galaxy Watch3 helps you move at your own pace. Choose a program from your smartphone and display the image on your TV - as you exercise, the program will show your heart rate in real-time. Use the special Ridge Sport strap for even more accurate results.
Enhance every step you take
The running guide of the Galaxy Watch3 helps you maintain your pace and receive real-time tips. The advanced algorithm analyzes your movement and helps you run better and avoid injuries. You can also perform maximum oxygenation measurements and track your daily, weekly, and monthly performance directly from your smartphone.
Continue your conversation
When you receive a new message, the Galaxy Watch3 displays your conversation history so you can keep track of the conversation. You can also view images without additional touch, making it even easier to maintain your mood while engaging in something else.

Great purchase! When most flagship smartwatches today cost over 500€, with almost 120€ you get a beautiful, reliable, well-made, and fully equipped one that even measures your blood pressure (check the model, in some countries like the US it's blocked!) and can even do an electrocardiogram!
At 41mm it fits perfectly on my wrist (20cm wrist) while there are many straps (20mm) with which you can change the leather one it comes with (which is of very good quality but not suitable for sports). It works perfectly with SAMSUNG Health and will ask you to download SAMSUNG Health Monitor as well.
The only "negative" is that it runs on TIGEN and not Android Wearables, so you can't put any watch-face or app you like from GooglePlay. However, in the SAMSUNG MarketPlace you can find beautiful ones - without having to allow Google to know all your biometric data!
Top watch. The battery lasts for 2 days with all wireless functions on full. If you turn off all wireless functions, the battery can last from 5 to 7 days.
Very good device but not without its issues (e.g. synchronization is not always automatic or the WiFi sometimes does not connect, although it is not particularly important since Bluetooth connects to the phone).
Although personally I am not interested, the operating system is Tizen and not Android, which means that you will not find almost any familiar application in the store, which apart from endless designs to give a different look to your watch, and some mediocre games, it does not have much else. However, besides some simple games like Tamagotchi, who would play what on their watch? :P
Nevertheless, you can send short replies from the notifications you receive through your phone and answer phone calls or listen to music from Spotify.
The measurements are quite reliable but not flawless. Of course, the oximeter and the pulse graph sometimes fell short compared to expensive hospital equipment and pleasantly surprised me.
Something that may be important for some, despite being mentioned in the specifications, this device does NOT have a blood pressure monitor. The blood pressure monitor is a feature that was added to the Samsung Galaxy 4.
Perfect watch, I have it for 2 years. The battery, which I consider the only negative, still lasts me 2 days with constant measurements! The most positive thing it has, and I don't know why Samsung stopped producing it, is the rotating bezel. I wouldn't change it for anything and the bezel plays a very important role for that!
I wore it for less than 30 days in total.
I went to the service in Chaidari 3 times and each time they changed everything, after I requested a replacement because they said it had water damage.
Useless watch, useless service, Samsung is tragic.
It is an amazing construction in a quite expensive category of watches. I would definitely buy it again. The only drawbacks are three.
- Not so accurate measurements,
- The battery lasts for about 1.5 days under normal conditions,
- It has the Tizen operating system which Samsung is abandoning, with all that this entails.
I got the watch as a gift for the girl M.
It has an amazing color and she was shocked when she saw it up close. It is twice as beautiful up close than in the pictures. The strap is leather and of good quality.
It synchronizes instantly with her A52s mobile. And it works flawlessly and perfectly. The battery lasts 2-3 days. And the watch measures blood pressure (after calibration with a sphygmomanometer), EKG, oxygen, heart rate, and stress. The measurements are very good. And almost always accurate. It doesn't easily lose heart rate during intense exercise. It measures sleep and sleep phases. It also detects falls, and if it detects that the person hasn't moved for 60 seconds, it makes an SOS call to contacts you have set with GPS coordinates, etc. (Requires connection to the mobile via Bluetooth).
I use the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with Wear OS. However, the Tizen on the 3 looks much more refined and well-crafted. Without any lag and with perfect movement in the menus. (On the 4 that I have, the Android sometimes freezes and requires a restart). If you're not interested in Google Pay, Google Maps, then maybe the 3 is better because it has a slightly better battery.
The rose version that I bought is the most beautiful Samsung watch for women in my opinion.
The watch has all the basic applications:
calculator
Timer
Stopwatch ⏱️
Alarms
Photo gallery
Internet browser
Here Maps with navigation (in combination with using Here Maps on the mobile)
Voice recording
And many more.
The main difference from the 4 is that it DOES NOT HAVE Google Pay. It DOES NOT HAVE Google Maps. And you can't reply to messages with voice typing.
On the 4, you can speak to the Google keyboard (Gboard) and it types it out for you.
Other than that, the watch is top-notch in appearance, workouts, and functions.
It had an issue with the button, it is not easily pressed. Although it was within the warranty and they fixed it, it still occasionally has a little issue.
A complete, worry-free, and in my opinion, beautiful smartwatch, which is a very good successor to the previous Samsung models in the series. It is more "smart" than an activity tracker, so one should know the usage they want before purchasing it. Its battery life is not its strong point, but with so many functions, it is understandable. It is too early to judge its durability, probably in a few months.
After 1 year of use: Completely worry-free and durable. I also have the ringke bezel that matches nicely with the rest and protects the most vulnerable part of the watch, which is the plastic rotating bezel. The only drawback is that Samsung has essentially stopped supporting Tizen. The apps in the store are not increasing or being updated. Although it is still very good, I no longer recommend buying it.
I had said I wouldn't buy a Samsung again, but they gave it to me as a gift. Defective products in smartwatches and they whistle. Anyway.. The watch is a disaster, battery lasts half a day, if that. Stay away
Its autonomy lasts up to 48 hours. It's a shame because competitively priced models with half the price and 1-2 small differences in functionality last over a week.
Unacceptable battery life (barely two days). I wanted to know what the purpose of the sleep evaluation application is since you charge it at night. The new models should have increased its duration by now
I bought the Galaxy Watch3 with the certainty that I can take it to the sea. As Samsung advertises, the watch is waterproof up to 60 meters, and they mention that it can be submerged in water as long as it is rinsed with fresh water afterwards.
Unfortunately, my experience is very different. I put it in the sea in June and since then I have been struggling with repairs (which Samsung cannot achieve). When I got it back from the first repair, the screen was not working. I took it again and they replaced the screen, but the microphone was not working. I was on vacation and when I took a shower with the watch (never again in the sea!) the buttons stopped working.
Other than that, it is good but I would never ever trust Samsung's marketing for any device, especially regarding waterproofing. Surely there are smartwatches that do the same at a better price.
A very good and high-quality smartwatch, with many measurements and relatively accurate measurements.
However, the rating will be low because:
- The battery is terrible and the charger is very slow.
- The step measurements sometimes showed 4000 steps while I was sitting. I simply noticed that because I have the habit of moving my feet, it counts steps.
In ECG, sometimes it was impossible to find a clear signal, while other times it captured a clean graph immediately without me ever noticing the difference. Other than that, I am satisfied with the accuracy of the measurements (walking, running, oxygen, etc.).
- Essentially, it only works with Samsung mobile phones. With Xiaomi, I had constant disconnections, and sideloading the applications for ECG and blood pressure worked, but without updates and with old versions of the applications. When I got a Samsung mobile phone, I realized that they have nothing to do with it. Generally, the watch is not worth it at all without a Samsung mobile phone, and it's a shame because you choose Android to have the whole ecosystem available. There are better closed systems elsewhere
Regarding the reliability of the measurements, I will tell you the following! On a 10km route that I constantly ran with the Samsung S20+, it took me 1 hour! Today, when I used a stopwatch to measure it, I did exactly the same, except... in one hour, I didn't have 10km but 7 and a half??? Very inaccurate, which one is stealing? I believe it's the phone! Also, the other measurements it provides are unbelievable, as if you went to a terrible doctor! It even tells you if the oxygen you inhale during exercise is at the right levels! As for the rest, I don't have an opinion as I got it as a gift for my wife! From what I've seen, it has a very good resolution in photos and doesn't lag!
I got it for a good watch, not an activity tracker. The only negative thing they constantly criticize it for is the battery BUT, if you turn off WiFi because you don't need it beyond updates, NFC because Samsung Pay is not supported in Greece, location I only open it when I want the weather forecast to be updated, heart rate I only use it when I want to, all these and more save a large percentage of the battery, in a day with raise to wake it went from 100% to 84%. When I want it more fancy, I also use the always-on display, it's perfect for a coffee or a walk. "And why don't you get the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro for longer battery life?" Because I like this one more in terms of design, even if I have some functions turned off. If I want them, I can turn them on, but if you don't have them at all, what can you do? That's it.
In terms of functionality, it may be the most complete on Android at the moment. We are expecting to see the 4, which will come with new software in collaboration with Google's wear os. I find it very convenient that I can store songs and go cycling without my phone, only with the buds+ in my ears. I have no issues with connectivity on my oneplus 7t pro. Unfortunately, the galaxy store does not have particularly useful applications, but it has countless free watch faces and third-party apps with watch faces. At the price of 240 that I bought it, I consider it worth it, but definitely not the initial price of 400+. The battery is a major downside, as everyone says. To give you an idea, it drains 3% per hour with the always-on display on (I use it quite a bit when I'm outside as I personally don't like raise to wake). During exercise, it drains 15-17% with one hour of cycling with GPS on and continuous heart rate monitoring. In general, I have turned off heart rate monitoring when not exercising to achieve 2 days of battery life. In the next model, I expect a better play store with applications and a battery or at least fast charging, as this one takes 2 hours to fully charge.
P.S. The rotating bezel makes navigation and the experience excellent, which is why I preferred it over the active 2.
Something I didn't like is that if you have an iPhone, it doesn't support certain things, like being able to send or reply to messages! Whereas if you have an Android phone, this is possible
Excellent watch, with many functions. Coming from Huawei GT, the only noticeable difference is the battery life, which now lasts a little over 2 days, with biometric measurements, notifications, etc. The number of functions makes it a real Smartwatch that helps with daily organization.
I bought it as a replacement-upgrade for my previous Watch, which lasted me almost perfectly for 2 years, except for the well-known issue with the Back button not functioning. I bought it not only for that, but mainly for the ability of the 3 to measure blood pressure.
Practically, it is the same device, slightly smaller than the previous one by ~1cm (the case) but with the same screen. It comes with an acceptable leather strap, while the previous one came with a rubber strap. It has a flat magnetic charger while the previous one had a non-magnetic upright charger, which allowed the watch to also serve as a desk clock (e.g. next to the bed). It also has a very peculiar box, as you will see in photos from reviews.
Materials, build quality, functions, etc., almost everything is identical, except for the minor changes in design, the strap, and a noticeable slight decrease in battery life (which may be due to the fact that I have only had it for a few days). In any case, battery life is the most significant drawback of the Galaxy Watch, as well as most smartwatches, which I have addressed by having wireless chargers at home and the office. This is also the reason why I deduct one star, as I consider autonomy a very important factor, regardless of the solution we find.
However, its advantages are much more, especially when combined with a Samsung mobile phone (like my Note20 Ultra). It is a very comprehensive smartwatch, you can make calls, write, reply, remotely control your phone, it is a pretty good sports watch, it can act as a navigator, and it can also serve as a portable audio device. It is relatively expensive, but it is definitely the best choice for anyone who wants a smartwatch and combines it with a Samsung mobile phone.
I switched from the Samsung Active to this one.. The difference is obvious.. very good battery! Better screen clarity! Finally, calls and conversations from the watch. The response of the bezel is fantastic (but in winter with long sleeves, the wake with bezel is not very convenient because it easily wakes up and makes calls that shouldn't be made )!! Answering messages goes without saying (I'm not referring to these because I consider them given for a real smartwatch).
The blood pressure measurement is very accurate with good initial calibration!! The ECG simply checks the sinus rhythm for signs of atrial fibrillation..
The color is impressive and the build quality is great!
I would prefer the packaging to include a second strap that is smaller in size (like the one in the active) since I have a small wrist and the M/L is big and I had to open another hole to keep it still on my hand. It takes a 22mm strap and bracelet, so I couldn't use the old ones since the active had a 40mm and wore a 20mm strap.
Nice smartwatch. Let's see when Samsung will open up Tizen and we'll have a bright day with some apps that we use on our phones!
Having the first watch, I decided to get this one and give the other one to my son. I didn't regret it for a moment. Very nice lightweight watch with real smart functions and not just surface-level smart like other ones I've seen and tried. The only downside is the battery that lasts 2 days and something like 24 hours when connected to the s21 ultra. It shows you all notifications from everywhere and some photos from viber, whatsapp, etc. What it needs is native apps for social media and it will be complete. And now, with the blood pressure it took and the ECG, it's perfect.
Owner of the gear S3 will judge it based on the differences, the positives and negatives.
Positives. It accepts calls even through wifi as long as the mobile phone is connected to the internet, even if it is forgotten somewhere.
It receives calls and messages, but you cannot answer. Viber is not supported yet.
It is thinner than the S3.
It has more measurements for O2, stress, and exercise.
You can view photos sent to Viber. Messaging is not supported yet.
The electrocardiogram and the blood pressure monitor have been activated.
Negatives.
The speaker and microphone are in the wrong position. Due to the slim design, it easily closes on the wrist, which was never a problem with the Gear S3.
The battery lasts for 2 days, the same as the S3 after 4 years. In the first year, the S3 lasted for 3 days.
The vibration is very light, there are times when I didn't notice it when disconnected.
The transition is worth it, especially because it accepts calls through the internet.
It provides very nice and useful features. It does everything it says without any hesitation, perfect for everyday use. As for the battery, personally, it will last from 1 full day up to 4 days of occasional use, making it flawless in every aspect.
