After a few months, the green "protected" light went off. You can't know if the light bulb burned out or if you have stopped being protected, so it's useless. From the other comments, I understand that this is a matter of time to happen, so it's not worth it

Before I bought it, lightning destroyed the telephone port of my router.
I bought it solely for the telephone port (which probably has an issue in the house I am in) and the area's line gets struck by lightning.

It has 2 lights in the front, Power and Protection. When I first plugged it in, both were working. After a very strong storm with many voltage fluctuations, the Protection light doesn't turn on. I believe that at some point it did its job and the protection failed, not my router or my telephone. It hasn't stopped working but logically I no longer have protection.

I will agree with another reviewer! Everything was fine until the first lightning strike after 2 months, it went off and the red light stayed on permanently. I took it to an electronics store and it doesn't have any protection inside, so it became useless. I wanted it for the telephone socket at the same time. Now Grundig is non-existent in Greece, the store where I bought it told me to do whatever I think because it has a good performance guarantee and weather conditions are not covered.... So why did I buy a surge protector to have a nice socket! Stay away from APC, I have the best impressions! The conclusions are up to you!

Everything was fine until the first storm. The only thing that was connected to it was the telephone line. It got burned, but I realized it days later because the green light is not very visible.
I think it's better to use a small UPS or something from APC.

It is worth 100% so far.
With local lightning flashes, it flickers very quickly and so far there has been absolutely no damage to my sensitive devices (wireless phone, router, and smart TV).
Before purchasing it, my router had already burned out twice and my TV once!
Let's see if it survives for a long period of time, at least 24 months, as long as its warranty!

It looks good. I have lost a router and a laptop due to lightning that passed through the telephone line, so I bought this. So far, everything is good.
