This book serves as an aid to the school textbook Anthology of Philosophical Texts for the 9th grade.

The aim of the book is to help students understand as fully as possible the philosophical issues addressed in the excerpts of the school book and the philosophical views expressed.

Each section of the book includes:
- Thematic centers
- A concise rendition of the text
- Lexical - semantic elements
- Interpretative commentary
- Brief commentary on parallel texts
- Overall consideration
- Answers to the tasks-questions, topics for discussion or written work, and interdisciplinary tasks of the school book. In many cases, supplementary information or comments are also provided in side boxes, and where deemed necessary, there are some additional questions, the answers to which are given at the end of the book.
