The "traditional" antenna in the village broke, starting to lose channels for a short period of time and then coming back after a few hours, while the rest of the neighbors were receiving signals continuously. Searching for an antenna and having in mind the "traditional" ones, I stumble upon these very small ones, which I saw with skepticism. I was in a dilemma, seeing the Philips one and another one, made in Greece, with excellent reviews, but in the end, I bought this one that I am now reviewing, maybe because of the safety of a big name.
This antenna, which is intended for indoor or outdoor use, is really powerful. It replaces the traditional, large antenna and completely eliminates the difficulty of moving to get a signal. By placing it outdoors, in the spot where the old antenna was, it had some slight signal disruptions (pixels) due to a chimney in front (visible in the photo). We easily found another spot that received a clear signal and placed it there. It is very easy to install (it also has a base for indoor use) and it is securely attached to the wall with two holes. It receives a perfect signal, without interruptions, and even now as I write these lines, it seems unbelievable how such a small accessory can receive the digital signal so well. I urge you not to hesitate and buy this antenna.
It has a long, black antenna cable: on one end, this cable is connected to the device (and it even has a plastic end like a funnel (visible in the photo) that covers the point of connection of the cable and the antenna, leaving no exposed metal point) and on the other end, it connects to a small transformer, where it is connected to the power supply (it needs a socket there) and a red indicator light shows that the device is active. I mention this because, practically, if it is placed outdoors, there is no need to fear rain, for example, as the antenna is perfectly connected to the antenna cable only. This cable will end up at the transformer, which will be located near a socket, probably under a shelter. Also, if the antenna cable is not long enough, someone can easily connect an antenna extension until it reaches a socket to connect the transformer. I note that the antenna can be rotated to be placed in the best possible way to receive the best possible signal.
Finally, there is a red indicator light on the antenna itself, creating an impression from a distance during the evening hours - to others - that it is a home security surveillance system.
In conclusion, low cost and much smaller construction volume compared to traditional antennas, combined with a strong market name, create this little miracle. I only reserve judgment regarding the placement point, as in more difficult conditions, I do not know at all if this specific antenna would receive an equally clear signal. However, as a replacement for the traditional antenna model, I am convinced that it is worth buying!
P.S.: This review was written three months after purchasing the antenna and it continues to work perfectly.
In 2 different rural areas (sea and mountain), it barely picked up the local channels in the mountain. It didn't pick up any at all in the sea, even though it showed that it detected a number of channels. With a little shake, it loses the image.
When I stabilized it in a mountainous area, it picked up the local channels decently, but no other channels. I wasted a lot of time searching for channels. If I could, I would return the almost €20. If I search within a city, I will write again.
In a two-story apartment building with a large open space around the building, the indoor antenna picked up signal (only with power supply) in only one spot, in the middle of the bedroom, with the receiver facing the floor. The picture quality is very good and it captures all channels in this spot. It is possibly suitable for homes that do not have external insulation. Otherwise, it is quite aesthetically pleasing and likely to work perfectly for outdoor use as an antenna
In Zografou, Athens, on the 3rd floor, it catches everything if it's near a window or balcony door... but if you move it from its position, it leaks. However, it's good for its price.
The antenna deserves an award for its quality, appearance, discreetness, options, and affordability!!! Look at the photo and you won't believe it. I simply placed it inside the room and got 100% signal and 100% quality!!! Imagine if it was installed on the wall or outside!!! EXCELLENT!!!

-I was moving the antenna around the living room.
-It only caught a few channels in one spot with poor reception and nonexistent channels.
-I asked for a replacement to give it a chance.

I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment building on Patision Street, so it's quite central. I have turned the antenna throughout the entire range of the cable, I even took it outside, NOTHING. I bought it because of the good reviews but unfortunately I was disappointed, I don't even use it and it has been sitting in the box since the first week I tried.
It's not worth any stars, it's the biggest piece of garbage you can buy and waste your money on. It barely picks up 4-5 basic channels and it's full of interference. I struggled for 5 hours trying to figure out how to get more channels and without interference. It obviously doesn't work. And because I didn't buy it from skroutz, unfortunately, I paid more money at a store that promised it was of good quality.
On some channels, it doesn't have a good reception. We have it inside the house. It needs you to change positions in order to catch sometimes.
Even without connecting it to power, it has all the channels without any problem. Maybe some small interruptions when the weather is very bad. I have it behind the TV at 1 meter from the floor (3rd floor)
Good antenna, but in a difficult location like my house, it doesn't have stable performance! Its performance is affected by weather conditions! For its price, it is a good antenna!
I live in the center of Athens, on the 2nd floor. I have the TV next to the balcony door in the living room. Before buying the antenna, I had a coaxial cable that ended up in the air conditioner to function as an antenna. That way, I could get most channels.
I bought this antenna for 2 reasons: 1) I wanted better signal, 2) I wanted the antenna, preferably, to be inside the house to avoid installation costs.
Results: 1) Inside and outside the house, this antenna picks up fewer channels than the plain cable in the air conditioner, with or without using the amplifier. 2) I will call a technician to check connections and signals on the balcony, maybe they can find a spot with a signal. However, I also tried placing it on a chair on the balcony in various orientations, and it only picked up a few things.
Considering that there are external antennas for 20 euros that don't even need an amplifier or power (it's optional for the antenna we're talking about), it's better to buy those.
When I find a technician for a possible external installation, I will update.
This is the first time I buy a Philips product and I'm not satisfied.
On the other hand, if the technician finds a signal and installs it at a reasonable cost (20-30 euros) and it picks up everything, I will be satisfied. Generally, at least for indoor use, get something else if you can find it.
Update 27/12/2022. I brought a technician and tried it again inside the house and on the balcony. In both cases, it didn't work. Conclusion: avoid it. The best solution is to install an external antenna for 20 euros. Characteristics of the technician who measured it on the balcony (where there was a good signal) told me "these are fake".
Total cost: 20 euros for the non-working Philips antenna + 100 euros for labor and a working noname external antenna on the balcony.
Easy and fast installation, it captures the channels well, the house is in a relatively large city by the sea. Sometimes it loses the signal but it quickly comes back. For its price, it is a good choice.
Inside the house it doesn't catch any channels, but on the balcony it has a strong signal, I would call it purely an outdoor antenna. Philips quality
Absolutely terrible. It has caused me incredible frustration and I have no results. Just when you find a good signal on your channel, it will only work on that and maybe 5 other channels at most, the rest not even close. After 5 days, they might not even work anymore. I should note that I live in a penthouse in the center of Athens!

It does not have good performance at all, even with the amplifier. While it seems to catch many channels, there is a lot of pixelation. Ideal for getting on your nerves.
Last floor, 7th. Located next to the window. Thessaloniki center. The signal is not good at all. No matter how I adjust it, the image freezes every 4 to 5 seconds.

Internally, it didn't work, not even as a joke. Externally, it was placed on a railing and found all the channels and HD, but it doesn't play the ERT channels unless you close the balcony door. I'm not asking why, it just does it.
I bought it because of the good reviews. I was completely disappointed with the product, at least for its performance as an indoor antenna. Very poor performance in a city center apartment, tested on three different TVs, barely getting 5 channels and even those with pixelation. I will try putting it on the rooftop next to the existing antenna and will update. I don't know if I can return it, but I would really like to.

In a village in Halkidiki, the signal was perfect and crystal clear. You need to find the spot to place it and where it will face, it's a bit complicated but once you find the signal, you will be rewarded. It's worth it!
Bad news, if the antenna doesn't go on the roof, there will be problems, especially with this type of antennas that don't have metallic elements!
It captures all channels with good signal (Piraeus). You should search for the point in the room where it captures well, I would like it to be somewhere more hidden and still capture, but it works perfectly near the window, so there it will stay!
Very good! I placed it outside because it didn't catch well on some channels indoors! I bought it in the spring with just a whip and everything is as it should be with 41 channels. It works perfectly even in bad weather. Sometimes it had some pixelation occasionally in the summer but not at all now. It's worth it.
Update: After a lightning strike, the amplifier broke and I was forced to buy the same one from the same store that I bought about a year and a half ago. The result is bad. Bad to very bad signal in the same spot where I had it before. The pixelation is more annoying and the signal is not stable at all. It even surprised me that this time it had a different transformer with the same specifications and more plastic parts. So, not satisfied at all and I returned it after 4 days. It seems to depend on the batch, from what I understood. Find a more reliable solution.

The antenna was installed indoors and captured almost all channels with amplification. Sometimes it plays tricks, but where it was installed without contact and with 3 rooms in front hiding the signal, it's fine.
