The BlockOut Tent series by OZtrail allows families to sleep longer and even control the heat inside your tent on a hot summer day. It features a Fast Frame system, allowing setup in minutes. With a single room, it is ideal for couples or smaller families.
The tent contains 2 separate layers, which are placed one on top of the other on its roof or upper part.
Usually, the first layer has waterproofing, while the second is a layer that allows air passage and offers better ventilation in the tent.
The tent features the BlockOut system, where the entire interior of the tent's room is black.
This means you can sleep even if the sun is up or at night without being disturbed by the camping lights. Additionally, the black interior keeps the tent a bit cooler in the summer, as it prevents the sun's rays from entering the tent. Specifically, it blocks up to 95% of light and reduces the heat inside the tent by 10 degrees.
The Ripstop gives the fabric increased resistance to tears and stresses. During the fabric's construction, thicker fibers are interwoven approximately every 5-8 mm in a horizontal and vertical arrangement. This improves the fabric's durability and makes any tears or holes less likely to spread and become larger.
The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the waterproofing rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10,000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
