Education should not be solely identified with the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills. School should also play another role: that of moral education.

Furthermore, the rise of violence, social discrimination, and political tensions on a global level oblige us to reconsider the ethical crisis of our time and its implications for education.

This collective volume, therefore, represents an attempt to enrich the dialogue on the issue of moral education in education.
