Oslo, 2018. Sonia Nordstrom, former middle and long distance runner, does not appear at the presentation of her controversial autobiography titled "Forever Number One".

When celebrity blogger Emma Ram visits Nordstrom's house later that same day, she finds the door unlocked and signs of struggle inside. On the television screen is a participation number for a race: number 1.

Police investigator Alexander Blix takes on Nordstrom's case, as well as other missing celebrities.
