  I am writing this review to restore the truth. Firstly, everyone here in the reviews has no idea what this tool is and they judged it as a writing pencil, which of course it is not. It is 100% designed solely for technical drawing. Secondly, once again, it was voted by everyone in the Reddit community as the most overrated pencil, as it has a bunch of serious design problems that hinder its control and performance, as well as many other issues that reduce its lifespan. If I start describing them, it will take pages. Just to clarify, I am a fan of the company because I have studied technical drawing and have been involved in freehand drawing since the mid-80s. The best mechanical pencil for drawing is the Pentel Graphgear 500, and the lead holders from Faber Castell, the TK4600 and TK9400. All, of course, using graphite from their respective companies. If the Gg 1000 didn't have the tip issue and was stable, if it didn't have this terrible balance and the problem in the middle where it connects with plastic parts and breaks quickly, it might be the best. However, with so many issues, and many others that I haven't mentioned, I would only recommend it for collection purposes. For everyday carry and writing, the best is the Pentel Kerry. For long hours of writing or for school, then we go for the Pentel Twist Erase III or the Pilot DrGrip. For sketching, the best is the Kohinoor 5340 in 5.6mm. And the Staedtler 780 in 2mm if you only want graphite (and not charcoal, red chalk, and all the other things that the Kohinoor 5340 can use). These are the best, neither Rotring nor Graphgear 1000. Unless you are just a collector, then you don't care about performance but appearance.

  It is the second one I have purchased. I kept the first one for many years, essentially using such a pencil throughout my entire school. Unfortunately, in both pencils, the part that holds the tips broke, causing the head to sink along with the tip. The first pencil lasted a long time before it broke, while the second one broke quickly because the pencil fell on the floor 2-3 times with the head. The pencil continues to write, albeit with some inconvenience. You can, like me, use glue to prevent the mechanism that holds the tips from sinking (I am referring to the metal thing on the edge of the pencil)
