Special education is currently at a critical juncture. In an effort to define its identity between the "special" and the "inclusive," as an integral part of general education, particular interest lies in anything specialized, differentiated, or additional that is offered to the child for long or short periods. Another ultimate goal remains education in the least restrictive environment possible.
