Pads
The Impact LX Mini helps you create expressive rhythms with 8 velocity-sensitive pads. They provide an extremely sensitive and uniform response, ideal for percussion. Assignments can be made in seconds and can be saved in 4 different levels for a total of 32 different assignments.
The Page button toggles between Keys and Pads settings, and the buttons next to the pads allow for independent activation. This makes it very easy to have a hi-hat or a percussion on the pads, while having a bass arpeggio on the keys with immediate access to the change menu for both. The tempo can be timed internally or via MIDI.
Double tap on the Part 2 button
The Part 2 buttons provide a unique ability for instant changes in settings: During playback, press one of the special "Part 2" buttons to instantly move the octave up or down, transpose, place another octave on top, switch completely to another MIDI channel - or any combination of the above.
Once you release the buttons, the Impact LX Mini returns to its initial settings. Additionally, any note played before pressing "Part 2" will continue to play in the initial settings - so you can play and hold some very low bass notes while playing a solo on top. Want to lock your setting? Simply press the second Part 2 button while still holding the first one. The Part 2 buttons will help you play in new ways that can't even be implemented on larger MIDI keyboards!
Nektar Daw Integration:
Simply install the Nektar DAW Integration package for your DAW and start controlling basic tasks directly from the Impact LX Mini. Improve your workflow by having extensive transport control, including goto/set locators on the fly, navigate songs and projects, open windows, or select patches without ever touching the mouse.
The Nektar Daw integration currently supports Ableton Live, Bitwig, Cakewalk, Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio GarageBand, Logic Pro X, Mixcraft, Nuendo, Reason, Reaper, and Studio One. It also includes a setting for Pro Tools.

Tweak your instruments
How about controlling your digital instruments like a real one? The LX Mini features an exclusive instrument mode button that changes the buttons to control the instrument parameters in most DAWs. Using the Page button, you can assign two parameters to each button for a total of 16. The large knob controls the channel volume.
Assign parameters with Nektar Grab: Simply hold down "Shift", move a control in the software, and then move the control in MIDI. In most DAWs, you can save your work for future recall.
If Nektar DAW integration is not active, you can use the function to learn MIDI in your DAW.
Includes DAW: Bitwig 8-Track
Start producing, playing, and designing sounds like a professional from day one with the included Bitwig 8-Track program. It gives you access to over 50 digital instruments and effects for use on up to 8 audio or MIDI channels and includes support for any third-party VST plugins you may have. The software is accompanied by the "Bitwig Essentials Package," an excellent selection of rhythms, clips, and samples to help you get started. The combination of the LX Mini and Bitwig 8-Track provides you with a powerful tool for your musical ideas, with the recognized workflow of Bitwig Studio.
