  One of the most beautiful board games I have ever played! When I was young, a neighbor had it and it was our favorite game.

  So I bought it for my son (10 years old) who has loved it! We completed the 14 missions in 1-2 months and now we are already thinking of buying one of the expansions! This may be the only "drawback" of the game. That is, you have to find missions. Or, alternatively, create them yourself!

  In terms of quality, the game is very good! Both the board, the figures, the furniture, and the dice. The instructions are in English, but nowadays I think everyone more or less knows English. Finally, I also put the mobile app in the positives, which allows you to use your phone to play as the evil wizard.

  The game became the family's favorite within a week. My 5-year-old son loved it and his mother loves anything that the child likes :). By giving the barbarian to the little one, who doesn't have much depth as a character (with some guidance, of course) and using the app, we can play as a team and defeat the monsters. It requires some imagination in storytelling, of course, and a personal touch to create some suspense and drama. Initially, I gave it five stars, but I'm lowering it to four because it is ridiculously easy and relatively shallow for adults. It's still 5/5 for the five-year-old, but adults will definitely get bored, personally I would never play it with friends. If I were to rate it for adults, I would give it a maximum of 3 stars, maybe even two.

  Excellent cooperative role-playing game!
  Ideal for both young and old.
  Ability to play only with the heroes, having a relevant app as the DM, which you download through the Play Store.
  Very easy rules. Good gameplay and overall gaming experience.
  I highly recommend it.
  The only negative is the very high (still) price of the base game (~80-100€) and its expansions (~20-50€), which make it quite an expensive hobby.

  They have done a really good job with the reissue. Anyone who is skeptical that it might be an attempt to make money targeting the nostalgia of some old fans of the game has no reason to worry. It is clear that they have worked on it with passion and love, and the new edition is truly worth adding to the collection of those who are fans of fantasy games.

  This board game is awesome! It has a lot of material and scenarios. Normally, it is for up to 5 people (1 plays the villain), but if you are fewer, I think it's better because it has an app to play the villain and you can all play as heroes together (it becomes a team game). There is also the possibility to create your own scenarios and play like D&D or any similar system you know (you can easily play with your own rules). I will definitely play a lot more and I will definitely get the expansions once I finish the base game with my friends!

  I still have the original from 1991, it has better and darker artwork than the new edition but those were different times back then. Other than that, it is the same game, the figures are excellent, the rules are easy even for children (over 8-9 years old), and it has plenty of missions so you don't finish it quickly, plus you can easily create your own. There is also a free app on your phone that controls the monsters and the players only have the heroes. If you find it at a good price, up to 90 euros, it's worth it. I wouldn't pay more.

  For all the old players who have grown up with this legendary board game, it is a pleasant reissue that upgrades and modernizes the already very good original game. For new players who haven't dealt with the old one but admire the world of Lord of the Rings or D&D or simply enjoy role-playing games, I would say it's worth giving it a chance. Also, in my opinion, the overall quality of the old game is unbeatable, without meaning that the latest version significantly lags behind. Finally, it should be mentioned that the latest version is essentially the update of the American edition of the old game. I mention this because the old board game had an American and European version with significant differences that greatly affected the gameplay, difficulty, and consequently the overall experience. Fortunately, they updated the, in my opinion, better version of the old game, which was naturally the American one.

  Excellent game. The price may seem a bit high at first, but the figures are so detailed (they can be painted, so consider them an investment), the cards are beautiful, and the board is worth it. The dice are now plastic and not wooden like the old ones. Also, the figures are somewhat soft and it is possible for the more delicate parts to bend. Personally, we got all the expansions, but the beauty of this game is that anyone can create their own story and quests.

  I won't say anything that others haven't already said, the game is simply excellent if you like fantasy. Just two tips:

  1) Look for foam inserts to prevent the figures from getting damaged when putting them in and taking them out of the original plastic packaging. Skroutz doesn't have them yet.

  2) When you play a bit, if you feel like adding more difficulty, start implementing your own rules. Games like D&D can inspire you to enrich it. For example, as Zargon, you can roll a dice for each monster to see how cleverly it will move.

  I have purchased the base game with the two expansions and the "black box" with the crowdfunding exclusives. As far as the base game and expansions are concerned, they are more or less the same (rules-missions) as those of us who had the old version remember, with some differences mainly due to intellectual property rights (addition of new spells, chaos became dread, and specific miniatures changed radically because Games Workshop owns the intellectual rights of the old ones).
  The game was very interesting and well-designed from the beginning, so the new version is equally good, as nothing significant has changed.
  The game board is noticeably larger compared to the old one, and the tiles have very good depiction.
  As for the miniatures, I would say that overall, they are very good. They are definitely much more detailed compared to the old game and in more dramatic poses. The soft plastic they are made of is more good than bad. This is because there is no risk of them breaking, and any possible deformations can be easily fixed. Of course, it has been mentioned in some cases that there are poorly made miniatures. Personally, the worst thing I noticed was that the scythe in some skeleton miniatures was smaller than it should be.
  One negative aspect regarding the expansions is that they do not have new miniatures, but rather the same ones from the base game in more copies. The same applied to the old game, of course, but in the "black box," there are different versions of enemies (and heroes).
  The plastic frame in which the miniatures are stored is very narrow, and there is a risk of damage or color destruction if someone decides to paint their miniatures.
  As for the "black box," although I have it, I consider it a mistake that it is not being sold, as both the new miniatures and the 3 additional mission books add a lot to the game.

  Edit 22/03/2023: The HeroQuest App for Android and iPhone is now also available in Greece, which allows one to play the game alone or up to 4 players cooperatively, as it takes on the role of the DM controlling enemies, traps, etc.

  Owner of the HeroQuest title and its expansions since 28/3/22.
  A reissue of the most legendary dungeon crawler board game, a good choice for children. As a game, it is easy and simple in terms of rules. This particular game is the reissue of the American version, which has extra cards for magic for the evil wizard that the European version did not have, and it is slightly more challenging in the quests. The price at 130-120€ is quite good for the content of the game, which other games of this genre do not have the same content (figures and accessories that help in the game). The downside with the app is that it is not available in Europe, a very bad choice by Avalon Hill/Hasbro, a tool that allows you to play the game solo. We hope they fix it and make it functional in Europe.

  PROS:
  Good quality cards, board, tiles.
  Good quality tables, chairs, fireplace, closets.

  CONS:
  I would like to mention the quality of the figures (heroes, monsters). It seems that Hasbro or Avalon Hill decided not to use a harder plastic (probably for cost reasons), resulting in them being more flexible and distorting in their packaging. With hot water, they return to their normal pose (Dread Warriors, Skeleton, Gargoyle, Orc).
