Excellent quality coconut oil used for strict ketogenic diet, upon the recommendation of a nutritionist. The difference compared to conventional olive oil or vegetable oil (which should be avoided like the plague for frying) is that it has a much higher smoke point (300C instead of 160-180C for olive oil, which should only be consumed raw, e.g. in salads and in moderation) and therefore does not become toxic to the body. It is a natural consequence that the taste is not as good as frying with olive oil, which we are accustomed to as a nation, but it is evident and visible that it did not become altered like olive oil after frying.

The difference in weight loss is noticeable compared to the exact same food fried conventionally (e.g. omelette), as insignificant as it may sound externally, the toxicity from frying is a hindrance to weight loss, as strange as it may sound, but it is a fact.

In general, weight loss is based on a rule that those who follow will see results: we reduce the intense pleasure (due to its abuse, we became overweight in the first place) derived from the consumed food and thus lose weight, as simple as that. A simple but radical change is the COMPLETE elimination of carbohydrates (sweets, starchy foods, pasta, flour products - bread, fruits, majority of vegetables, etc.), where the body, lacking easy energy (carbohydrates), turns to breaking down fat to produce energy, with dramatic results. Of course, it requires the corresponding adjustment period for the body to switch its internal "gears" to be fueled by fat and not by (ready-made and processed) carbohydrates, but afterwards, the body goes on autopilot as long as the non-consumption of carbohydrates is maintained.
