I installed it on the family PC along with a new motherboard as it had not been upgraded for almost 7 years. It runs everything flawlessly and does not hesitate in multitasking. It is perfect for a budget office PC.
For everyday use (browsing, videos, office applications), it is excellent, you don't need anything else.
For modern games, scientific computing applications, 3D rendering, and other heavy tasks, you will need to invest in something faster and more expensive. If you have a good graphics card, it will play games very well for its price (with some compromises in resolution and quality), but of course, someone who has a good graphics card has enough money to buy a better processor as well.
Upgrading my family's PC from i3 10105 to 12100, in my humble opinion, doubles the power exactly!! Although the 10105 had no issues and it was not slow, all the computers in our house switched to the 12th and 13th generation!
I have him only for 3 weeks so I still have a lot to see. I'm using him with the msi rx 6500xt. With the card maxed out, I haven't seen him getting tired particularly... the percentages go up a bit, 70-95% depending on the game (we're talking about games from 22) but it gives me the feeling that it can handle everything. As for multitasking, I won't mention it, I have 2 screens and always play YouTube and browse next to it, the CPU doesn't even sweat.
For 1080 gaming and everyday use, it's the perfect tool. The stock cooler is great, no need for aftermarket. AMD takes advantage of pci gen 4 and raises the prices, so it wins from there.

My system is top-notch, it is cost-effective, and it supports the new SSD MVE PCI-Express 5.0 in case I want to upgrade in the future. The temperatures are consistently below 40 degrees, and I have a simple cooler that cost me 25€.
