I have had the phone for 2 years and I have to say the following:
POSITIVES
- For the first year, it guarantees fast software and excellent battery life.
- It has a very easy and uncomplicated UI (software, pre-installed apps, etc.).
- The camera is outstanding (only when using the phone's "camera" app) as the photos are of high quality and the videos do not lag.
- The photo editing capabilities are countless and practical. (e.g. immediate cropping of a photo if you are taking a picture of a board or a notebook, or text detection and copying from the phone's original camera).
- It is fast and runs all games well. (does not drop below 40 fps).
- It is quite convenient to hold and at the same time a beautiful phone for its price in my opinion.
Overall, a value for money phone that is worth getting with a budget of 250-350€ even after all this time.
NEGATIVES
- After a year, especially if the storage is full, it starts to lag quite a bit as time goes by.
- Samsung will constantly urge you to upgrade your software (if you have not already) and will interrupt any task you are doing at the moment.
- The phone's camera (like all androids) is not optimized for other apps besides the phone's camera.
- If you do not use a case, the back is fragile so be careful.
CONCLUSION: Overall, a value for money phone that is worth getting with a budget of 250-350€ even after all this time.
I have it for a year now. I haven't had any problems, considering that before I had a very old Xiaomi... At least it hasn't caused me any damage... However, I don't think it's worth 350 euros... at most 200 would be okay.
It was given to me as a gift about a year ago. As soon as I opened it and received my first incoming calls, the speaker sounded like it was burnt. It would automatically go on silent mode and freeze a lot. I sent it for repair and they told me that indeed the speaker was burnt and the battery needed to be replaced. In short, they replaced them (battery and speaker) for me. I asked for a replacement of the phone and of course they didn't accept it. It has quite a few glitches that it shouldn't have with the supposed memory it has. Another issue I've had from the beginning is that when typing, it presses different letters than the ones I want, and it's quite annoying. It's not worth its money at all. Now I'm just being patient.
I was expecting more from a phone that I bought for 350€ a year ago. Although the battery is still okay, the phone KEEPS FREEZING. Sometimes it freezes even on the lock screen for at least 6 minutes. If you can, avoid this phone.
I bought this specific mobile phone brand new 11 months ago. The screen was constantly heating up, the battery was draining for fun, and the worst part was that it would randomly restart on its own. I took it to a technician and they informed me that the phone had burned the motherboard. I was truly disappointed because I had higher expectations for this particular phone, and now I am left without a phone and minus 450 euros that I paid. I would not recommend it to anyone
Good camera, fast but the best thing is the speaker.. amazing sound.. you watch a movie on Netflix and you think it's from a home cinema.. so far, value for money
It sticks too much for 6GB RAM with 4-5 open applications and it heats up excessively to the point where you think it will catch fire, the worst thing I have ever bought.
I have had the phone for a year and I am absolutely satisfied. It does not lag at all so far. It takes perfect photos and videos. If I do not use it much, the battery lasts me a day and a half. It is definitely worth its money.
For its category and cost, it is very slow and often freezes without having many active applications. Unlocking with fingerprint is by far the worst I have tried.
Its battery lasts 1 - 1.5 days without heavy use.
The only positives are its screen and speaker.
One of the best phones, great value for money, the camera is amazing (choose 64 and not 16 mp), video: 720p30 or 1080p30 or 1080p60 or 1440p30. Battery life depends. If you are "youth", and spend 4-5 hours daily scrolling on tiktok with data on, it will last 1-1.5 days. If you are a parent and just use it for calls, scrolling on insta etc for 1-2 hours a day it will last 2.5-3.5 days.
I have had it for a year, I was forced to choose a phone quickly as my previous one suddenly broke. The battery has not left me satisfied at all, it has the same duration as the previous one which was 3,500 mAh, while this one is 5,000, it drains quite quickly (at least it has fast charging). The camera is good, I have no complaints. Another negative aspect is that it heats up very easily when it is warmer, especially in hot weather, even with minimal use. So far, it has not presented any problems with daily use. Whether it is worth its money, I will find out in due time, I hope I don't need to change phones soon. I bought it for 330 euros, it is definitely not worth more, there are much better phones if someone can spend even a little more money.
I received it as a gift, the 8gb/256gb version. Apart from the photos, which I believe are below average if it's 64mpx, I am a helicopter. Other than that, it does everything it says, volte and wifi calling work perfectly, hotspot, 5g, all good. It can provide internet to a laptop all day without any issues, I was simultaneously browsing, providing internet to the laptop, and talking, three things at once and it worked, it surprised me. It also takes an SD memory card, while most others are getting rid of it. In my opinion, it's big for the pocket, 6.5, I wonder why they keep making them bigger and bigger. Music is great. The only phone that took nice photos was the Asus Zoom Zx551ml, which also had optical zoom, 3x
I don't know what they write and what happens with the users of the mobile, but I use it for various tasks, I have loaded it fully and it works great. I recommend it for its price
I don't like it at all. After half a year of use, it gets stuck and turns off on its own, but when it turns on, it makes a loud noise as if it's going to explode. I would suggest getting a Xiaomi Note instead
I expected more, but specifically the battery of 5000 is not what it claims to be. I have had it for 16 months and I am thinking of getting another one. I took it to the Germanos store and they tell me different things. My opinion is 3 stars and that's being generous.
The mobile phone is very good value for money. The battery is quite good, and the gaming is satisfactory. There are no words for the screen. I have had the phone for a year and a half and it has never frozen so far
I had this mobile phone for about 1 and a half years and suddenly it started freezing and restarting constantly. I took it to a technician and he told me that the motherboard got burned... such a pity, I spent so much money just for it to break for no reason...
If your priority is a good camera, it takes wonderful photos! It's good in everything! However, I am not satisfied with its battery, it runs out quickly and struggles for a day in dark mode and battery saving mode! Otherwise, I am quite satisfied! It had a little moisture issue in the charging port but fortunately it was resolved painlessly! Wonderful photos, videos, good sound, quite fast, doesn't crash! (I had to use a dongle for music because it doesn't have a headphone jack)
I bought the A53 because it claimed to be water-resistant. However, with the first use in both fresh and saltwater, it showed a water droplet indicator that never disappeared, resulting in the battery shutting down. (You can't charge it on its own if the moisture/water indicator is active). We called customer service, and the service was unacceptable!!! Unacceptable. They told us to send it for service. They replaced the USB port, claiming it had a problem, even though they knew the phone had been submerged in water (both saltwater and freshwater). After the repair, during operation, it overheated excessively, to the point where you couldn't hold the phone in your hands. I do SUP, which is why I chose this particular phone. So, I started with the board towards the sea, took some shots with the phone, and during the journey with my board, the phone was unprotected on the board and got splashed by the sea. At some point, the screen just went black! Called customer service again, and we sent it back for service. They told us that the screen was burned out! The replacement cost is €140 because it had seawater inside!!! The supervisor at Samsung Greece was extremely provocative and aggressive. He didn't even want our call/conversation to be recorded! He said it was a coincidence!!!! So, I accuse the service because obviously they didn't properly replace the port, they didn't do the necessary waterproofing!!! Obviously, not all the necessary actions were taken. Why did the phone overheat? Even though it wasn't even exposed to the sun?! Even though from the first service, it was made known that I had submerged it in both the sea and the river, why didn't they tell me not to do it again? Suddenly, in the second service, it was my fault for submerging it in the sea!!! Why does the supervisor at Samsung mock me? And he is certain that the first repair was done correctly? Why do I doubt myself just because I submerged it in the sea??? I repeat that even in the first repair, I had submerged the phone in all types of water! And they repaired it for free. So why did the screen suddenly burn out now?!!! I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service in Greece!
2 devices in my hands all good very nice photos very very fast in everything the battery lasts a whole day with continuous use no problem in general while I read negative comments I recommend it and my 2 devices came out perfect for now... very beautiful mobile I don't change it...
Well, the reason I'm writing this review is because they gave it to me as a corporate gift and unfortunately, I can't handle it at all.
First and foremost: Disappointing. The note 10 pro I had before (and unfortunately my son, the little rascal, got his hands on it) had almost 1.5 times faster speed... We're talking about 150 euros less in price for the note 10, what a rip-off, right?
Second negative point: The menu... No, my friend, the manufacturer tells you. You have to dig into the settings. How else will you get to know my awesome phone if you don't break your head? You want to set an alarm? Even the stones would laugh, guys...
Third negative point: Charging every day... The note 10 pro lasted 2 days... This one goes from 100% in the morning to 20% in the evening (and I work for 10 hours without using it). Add a tic-tac or two and it will drink the battery like Coca-Cola...
Fourth: You receive a call and you can't hear anything...
Fifth: I don't know if it's the amazing Vodafone that the boss installed, but many times you CAN'T make a call. You have to call 2 or 3 times for the phone to wake up and answer... I believe it's the phone because it's the first time I see it happening so often...
In conclusion: For this thing, I wouldn't even give 100 euros.
The worst thing you can buy... to spend money and within a year to have a problem with the motherboard and the phone to be useless... that says it all... and to tell me as an excuse that it just happened... get anything else, except this phone
Very good to excellent, considering the price and overall performance. I previously had the Samsung J7 and then the Redmi Note 8, so I have a benchmark for comparison. It rarely freezes 1-2 times a week for a few seconds, and that may be because I may have forgotten to close 30 apps and games. Its camera is very good in photos as it has OIS, it even takes photos in very low lighting conditions (the aforementioned couldn't even focus) with low noise for those who know about photography, and its HDR works in most cases. I can say that in some cases, it takes better photos indoors with good sharpness and focus than the Sony A6000, which loses performance due to its kit lens with a 3.5 aperture. I also compared it to my friend's Redmi Note 12, which is known for its sensor, and the difference was noticeable in favor of the A53. The macro lens simply doesn't work, and it's better to take photos with the standard lens. The video only has good stabilization in FHD 30FPS with OIS enabled in good lighting conditions, as the light decreases, it produces more noise. It's logical to expect this at this price, as well as the competition, except maybe the Pixel 6A, which I have seen in videos that performs at the level of a flagship in photos and videos. UHD video up to 30 FPS without stabilization. The battery easily lasts a day with 4 hours of daily usage, depending on whether you play games and have a good signal, and something that people forget is that if you use two SIM cards like me, it definitely burdens the battery. Overall, I liked that it receives security updates almost every month/bi-monthly. While with Xiaomi, you rarely see that since they release many models and somewhere it lacks support.
Wasted money, shame for a supposedly "serious company"... compared to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 that I had and decided to change after 5-6 years of use (due to the Xiaomi motherboard starting to deteriorate). So, I bought the Samsung and from the first day it gave me a bunch of problems: its battery would drain to 25% by noon (8:00-14:00) ONLY by being connected to the internet and responding to 2-3 messages on Messenger. And both SIM cards had trouble connecting, missed calls wouldn't come through, callers would get a message saying I was unavailable, when I put it on speakerphone it showed that it was on speakerphone, even though I had to press it multiple times for it to work properly, the speaker sounded like it was ringing when someone called. I went back to the store where I bought it and asked for a refund (consumer's right within 14 days), they told me they would send it to Samsung's technical support and come up with a conclusion. Well, they returned it to me with a message saying "no reported issues were found after the software update." Obviously, they didn't replace the device or refund the money, the battery is somewhat better after the update (lasts until 5 PM with a little internet usage and a few calls, but drains within 2 hours when playing games), while the 5-year-old Xiaomi I have still holds up better than the brand new Samsung. I also noticed that the screen has a vertical line throughout its length, as if the pixels are broken, and the speaker problem remains the same. The box does not include a charger, only a cable, the headphones are bought separately (and connected to the charger port). In short, it's not worth even 140 euros, only the camera resolution is slightly better than Xiaomi's. I will never buy Samsung again!
