Very good laptop for its price. I do all my work on it and it has fantastic speeds. The screen is satisfactory. The laptop feels a bit "plastic", but this is not a technical issue, but rather an aesthetic one. My only complaint is its battery, as it runs out very quickly.
I have had the laptop for 1 year now. It is fantastic!!!! I use it for programming (PYTHON), I use it for gaming (overwatch, dbd, fortnite), I use it for tasks (word, powerpoint) and general office work and it has not had any problems, on the contrary, it does everything with excellent performance
I consider the laptop to be great up to 600 €. I am a student and I play games without fear in general (e.g. World of Tanks on high graphics or Titanfall 2 also on high). As for its easy portability, it is a huge plus as it is lightweight and thin with beautiful bezels. The keyboard is nice and backlit in two intensities, and if you prefer, it can be turned off completely. Overall, it is made of plastic but gives a metallic appearance which doesn't bother me, and the fast charging is very quick. Now, the battery is average but not unbearable. With energy-saving mode, it lasts around 5 hours for light usage (like using Word and browsers). Overall, it offers good value for money.
mediocre laptop, Terrible graphics card and screen brightness, 4 months of trouble at the purchasing store with service, TouchPad was replaced, keyboard was replaced, back panel suddenly burned, no money was returned and no replacement was made...it was sent from service to a company that collaborates with lenovo without a camera shutter and the adhesive Plates...3 services were needed..
I have been using this laptop for a few months now, and it really has great value for money (purchased for around 600).
The 5500U has not disappointed me at all. I mainly use it for school, a bit of programming, and casual gaming.
It ran Overwatch 2 without any major issues on low settings, and overall, any game I have tried was very playable. The cooling is quiet, in fact, I can't hear it at all when I'm not playing a game. The SSD is also fast, with very short boot times on both Windows and Linux Mint, which I have tried. The screen is decent, with excellent viewing angles and a good resolution. It could be a bit brighter, but overall, it's okay for my usage and for watching movies or shows. The speakers are also okay for the price, although I would like a bit more volume. The keyboard is very usable, with a pleasant feel, and the backlighting (which has toggle options for off/low brightness/full brightness) is very useful for using the computer at night. The battery life is average, but using the power-saving mode, I get around 5 to 5.5 hours of screen-on time. However, I must mention that it charges extremely fast and overall, it hasn't been a hassle in this aspect.
I deducted one star due to the build materials of the chassis, which is all plastic. I understand that at this price point, one can't expect premium materials, but I would have liked it if aluminum was used at least for the external surface of the device. Nevertheless, its quality, at least on the lid and keyboard surface, is good, and it's difficult to find these features in any device at this price point, so it's a minor drawback for someone who is mainly interested in performance.
I consider those who say that the material is cheap plastic, etc., to be excessive. The laptop is great for its price, I don't think there is anything better for this price!
Laptop with R5 5500U that surpasses 11th generation i7, 16GB DDR4 RAM, IPS panel, fingerprint, backlit two-level keyboard, lightning-fast 500GB m.2 SSD internal hard drive, weighs less than 2 kilograms, and plays League of Legends smoothly at 60fps with high graphics, all for just 600€. You won't find these specs even in a laptop priced at 1000€...! It's the ultimate value for money in the laptop market. The materials are all plastic, but all laptops require care, regardless of whether they are made of aluminum.
From opening the lid to reaching the Windows interface, only a few seconds pass, and the fingerprint scanner is also quick. I don't have an opinion on the touchpad as I use a mouse.
The laptop was purchased on Black Friday in 2022 for €600. At this price, there is no doubt that it is a really good opportunity worth considering for anyone who wants an upper mid-range laptop, above average. About 9 months after purchasing the laptop, I can say that it is very reliable, it does not heat up easily, it has a nice keyboard, and it is very good for multitasking due to its 16GB RAM. Overall, it is quite fast without any lagging. I mainly use it for office work, browsing, light programming, and watching movies.
If I could find any negatives, it would definitely be the sound, which is average, especially in terms of volume, and the screen, which is relatively bright with an anti-reflective coating, but otherwise, it is not something remarkable in terms of color accuracy.
The whole construction of it is very poor. Pure plastic. The touchpad creaks when pressed due to the poor quality of materials. The battery life is 4-5 hours depending on usage. As for the construction, I believe it is cheap and not worth it. I hope in the future I won't be disappointed by its performance and hardware durability
Because I bought it with digital care, I had to get it with Windows 11, which I replaced with Linux after 1 month.
And both operating systems perform very well (Windows 11 loads slower). The only drawback is that Linux unfortunately does not recognize the fingerprint sensor.
Other than that, I am very satisfied with this purchase. It is lightweight, has great battery life, a decent backlit keyboard, and an IPS display. 16GB of RAM is more than enough for my tasks. The CPU is also very decent.
I immediately disabled the s mode of Windows, which I highly recommend everyone to do.
The machine looks great at first glance, it's fast. I've only had it for two or three days, so I don't have an opinion on certain things like battery life. It's also my first experience with Windows 11, and I'm having difficulty getting used to it.
This review is about the operating system: Windows 10 S
I haven't had it for long, but I find it to be a great value for money. Its CPU is one of the top in its category, and for this price, it's hard to find the same features. As for performance, I can't judge it yet, but in the 1-2 online games I've tried it on, it's fast and I haven't encountered any issues
This review is about the operating system: Windows 10 S
I bought the aforementioned machine a few days ago. It is elegant and pleasant. It opens and closes quickly without much effort. It is lightweight and practical. The fingerprint recognition button does not work as well as it should. The screen colors are satisfactory, but not as good as they should be. The processor is good and the system responds quickly even when performing multiple tasks simultaneously. I mainly use this computer for office work, multitasking, internet, and multimedia. The battery life is quite good, although most devices have good performance in this area at the beginning (about 5 hours). Value for money in any case, with asterisks...
