  After a year of pain in my ankle without knowing where it was coming from. I went to orthopedists, they prescribed physical therapy, I got orthopedic insoles after a foot scan that I wore with a 30 euro shoe. The pains had disappeared and I was perfect. In my last session, the physiotherapist told me to get very good asics kayano shoes because one foot has overpronation. Well, I have been wearing them for 10 days now. With an hour of relaxed walking, my soles burn, my heels ache, and I feel myself leaning backwards, bringing all the weight to my soles and metatarsals with my toes in the air upwards. I started feeling discomfort again and regret the 150 euros I spent on a good shoe. Eventually, I replaced the insoles with the orthopedic ones I had, essentially spending a total of 250 euros, 150+100 for the insoles, and it already seems to be better. I'd rather spend less and get a simple pair from admiral with 35 euros with insoles and never deal with expensive shoes again. Plus, I wear size 44 and in kayano I went for size 45, but the big toe is being pressed in front. The fabric seems like it will make a hole next month. I wear them for an hour and I'm already thinking about when I'll go home to take them off and let my feet rest.

  They are only good for walking... The foam in the heel is so hard that it doesn't absorb anything and the foam from the midsole onwards is so soft that again it doesn't absorb anything, you just sink in, I don't know what logic this has... I ran 20km and my knees were destroyed (I should note that I am a heel striker and 1.82m 80kg) for running they are terrible, for walking they are perfect.

  Wonderful shoe. I have a slight overpronation and they helped me in running (but also in walking) to step correctly without the ankle rolling inward. Of course, they don't save you 100%, but compared to "neutral" shoes, I can now go comfortably without feeling intense strain on my ankles and knees.

  I believe that this is not a shoe that should be worn by someone with a neutral foot, as they will feel the extra support in the arch excessively and it may cause them problems.

  After running about 400-500km with them in 10 months (plus regular daily use for walking, office, etc.), I started to feel that they have lost some of their cushioning and they started to tire me. Note that I am 180cm tall and 80kg. So now I use them as a second pair when running in rain/mud, and they cover me just fine.

  At the current 600km mark, the sole has started to noticeably wear out in the front part, and a corner has even come off. But this may be because I also played basketball with the shoes and put them through directional changes.

  I see in other comments people mentioning holes in the fabric, etc. Mine still look like new with no damage to the inner or outer fabric, laces, etc. Any wear is only visible on the sole and midsole.

  I consider them on par with the Guide 16, or maybe I prefer these because I feel they fit my anatomy a little better.

  Having the ASICS Gel-Kayano 29 for a year, they are not worth more than 100 euros, and only if it's for the sole technology they offer, providing support and stability to the foot and being very lightweight. However:
  1. After a short time, I had to change them because they were hitting my sides, costing an additional 30 euros.
  2. It's unbelievable that a shoe that started at 200+ euros would start tearing on the sides, and in the same spots on both shoes. It's tragic, considering I had them for everyday walking

  I bought them at the end of April after extensive research because I have an issue with my metatarsals, so that it doesn't squeeze or compress my foot, but also doesn't hit my little toe.

  While it is a comfortable, lightweight, and convenient shoe for all uses, unfortunately, it developed a tear on the right one three months ago, and I thought maybe I caused it somehow. However, it also developed on the left one a month ago, while the right one has started to open up.

  Disappointed with the level and value of the shoe. It is not worth its money and certainly does not have the quality I expected. As other users have mentioned, it shouldn't tear so quickly, not even with cheap ones.

  After many years of running only with boost, I switched to asics. The shoe is completely different in everything, from the cushioning, the reinforced arch, to the noticeable forward tilt it has. It is not as soft as boost, but it is definitely more stable. Overall, it is comfortable, but it requires adaptation (especially when transitioning from a different brand) because the cushioning is different. As for the weight that many claim, you don't even notice it. I will come back when I have run kilometers with it.
