Description

The Samurai is an innovative project by Oceanic Team for an eging rod, designed based on the needs of the Greek fisherman and primarily aimed at Mediterranean eging. It has an ideal length for long casts while being very comfortable even after hours of fishing. Suitable for both beginners and experts.

The Fishing Rod

The extension of the fishing rod with a length option of 8.9'' (2.68m) proved to be the best and most efficient, especially in rocky areas and on beaches, as it was observed that long casting was often the decisive factor for success. At the same time, the Fazlite K guides from Fuji with a large foot offered the appropriate friction damping so that the casting would not be abruptly interrupted.

Fazlite K Guides

The FazLite was just created by Fuji as an excellent ceramic option.

The blue color of the FazLite and with 'Corrosion Control' (CC) chassis either in Frosted Silver White or Frosted Dark Grey, not only is one of the most modern and beautiful proposals by FUJI but it is also impossible to replicate.

Intense Perception of the Strike

The rod has a parallel sense of the squid jig, perception of the hit, good behavior in jerks without being slow or medium slow, losing all virtues in casting. The handling sensation of all squid jig sizes (#2.5, #3.0 & #3.5) makes it suitable for eging and also helps in casting under all conditions.

Targeting Mediterranean Eging

This is a rod intended for Mediterranean eging and its peculiarities, not just another rod trying to imitate the Japanese fishing style, which is very different from our own standards.

Additionally, it features a 33cm handle ideal for jerks and good grip during casting, a reel seat with a special design to become one with our hand, PE Line #0.6-#1.0, Egi Weight #2.5-#4.0, and a low weight for its type at 143gr.

Review this product
  • Perhaps the best egin fishing rod on the market in terms of price-performance ratio. Extremely lightweight, with high-quality Fuji guides, incredible long-distance casts compared to other rods of its kind, and a sense of even the slightest movement on the seabed, whether it's rubbing against rocks, seaweed, or feeling the currents and the "licking" of the squid.
When people told me about it, I didn't believe it.
After 5 hours of fishing, you don't feel any fatigue in your hand. I say hand because despite its long length, you can easily handle it with one hand. I performed all the movements and jerks while holding the rod with three fingers, using the index finger and thumb. That's how lightweight it is.
