After many good reviews, and despite doing extensive market research, I ended up with this pellet stove. It is truly remarkable in a 70 sqm detached house. After 2 hours with an external temperature of 5 degrees, it reaches 22 degrees inside and 20 degrees in the rooms. I chose level 3 for the flame out of 5 and level 2 for the fan out of 3. I was afraid of the fan noise based on the comments, but it is not something bothersome, more like a gentle breeze. Very easy menu. Nice quality. As for consumption, it burns half a bag in 9 hours per day, which is really not noticeable when you are 3 meters away from it, costing around 3.40 euros per day. I tried several pellet stoves, but none of them compare to the golden nugget. No issues with the company, excellent cooperation. Update 17-3: the stove continues to work flawlessly for 10 hours per day. It remains problem-free and now the space stays warm for 6 to 7 hours after it is turned off. One tip I saw elsewhere and it actually helps is using a vacuum cleaner for the ash, making it easy and fun. That's all the work. I also include a photo of a very affordable vacuum cleaner. For now... Update 10-22: the stove continues to work flawlessly with high-quality pellets as always.
I bought it about two weeks ago and from the beginning I have had some issues and we are struggling with the people from Patras to find solutions. I installed it myself in a 65 sqm house in Athens, newly built 15 years ago, with aluminum frames, double glazing, and a porch downstairs. While everything seems to be working, after 12 hours of operation, it does not go above 19 degrees Celsius in F5 S3 mode and of course it does not heat up the living room, which is about 24 sqm. I won't even discuss the other rooms. With a living room temperature of 13 degrees Celsius after an hour of use, it reaches 19 degrees and stays there. Coming from outside, you can barely feel any warmth, it feels somewhat cold. I am surprised that some of you say it reaches 27-30 degrees and you are in your underwear. Also, I configured it myself using the hidden menu they gave me, but the flame was weak and the pellets remained unburned in the hopper. Then I changed the settings in consultation with the people and the problem was fixed, and it has a very nice flame now, but it still doesn't heat properly. I don't believe that it is not a good product, rather I think I have encountered a defective one. I believe the solution will be found with the people who are very polite and always helpful. And of course, pellets from Leroy. The review I am making is based on my experience so far, I do not encourage anyone to buy or not to buy, as soon as I have updates I will come back to write more things.
Quite satisfied! We had a big problem with humidity in the rooms and we bought the heater. It heats up the space very well, the room still hasn't produced any humidity and overall, we finally got warm! Easy to clean, it doesn't emit much smoke. I give it 4 stars because it was expensive.
The purchase was made a year ago and concerns the 12kw model. Okay, the stove is worth every last euro. After my experience with pellets since 2008 when I first encountered them in Florina, I installed a pellet burner and used it for several years. The consumption was about 4 to 5 tons per year. A year ago, after extensive research, I decided to purchase this specific stove. Well done to the team for the complete technical support. The consumption ranged around two tons with the indoor temperature at 20 degrees Celsius and from the afternoon until midnight at 21 degrees, constantly on ECO mode. The installation of the stove is easy, just follow the manual. Just be careful with the chimney, follow the 2-1 rule. That is, 2 vertical and 1 horizontal pipe at the stove's outlet for easy cleaning. Clean the glass every day for any soot. The room fan makes a bit of noise on the third setting. Pay attention to the quality of the pellets.
Everything is good, it doesn't burn a lot of fuel, about 13 kilograms per day, and it heats a satisfactorily insulated 100 square meter house with aluminum frames. In very cold weather, we have to use the radiator in the morning to quickly warm up the space for about an hour, and then we use the stove for the rest of the day. After 3 months, when the cold weather stopped, I did some maintenance and decided to remove the side flanges from the combustion chamber to do a thorough cleaning, but the flange broke into pieces in my hands like a tissue paper. I couldn't find a similar material to cut a pattern. I contacted the store and they advised me to use temperature silicone, which I did. It's fine there. Now, for a stronger flame, a technician needs to come and adjust it so that more pellets fall per second, following the instructions from the hidden menu that the store doesn't provide to customers but only to technicians who know what they're doing. The flame can also be adjusted in the F5 setting, but I'm not tempted yet to bring a technician and increase the pellet consumption. I compared my factory-set stove to a technician-adjusted one and the latter had a much stronger flame. But this also means extra consumption. Anyway, I'm lucky that I got it in January for 850 euros because now I see it at 1050 euros. (The price increased due to the oil war and the general trend). Personally, I would buy it again for 850 euros, but not for 1050 euros. I would look for another one. And I shouldn't forget, the cable for the temperature is excessively short, 5 centimeters. They couldn't put a meter there so that you can extend it further, resulting in showing the wrong room temperature, higher than it actually is. The remote control is very convenient. Also, with a closer inspection by putting a flashlight inside the air intake, you can see that they skimped on the welding, causing the pipe to not be properly attached, and you can see the light through the holes. This was solved by applying some temperature silicone of 300 degrees, as it is elastic and doesn't dry out like the other one of 1000 degrees. Anyway, I hope I helped. If anything comes up, I will update
I have bought a pellet stove for my parents who used to use a wood stove. Without a doubt, it is much easier and effortless. As grown-ups, fortunately, it is very easy to use. I have been very satisfied with the product and I have recommended it to five other customers who have also purchased it and were satisfied.
Although I bought it second-hand, the stove is excellent! I had immediate assistance from the representative, and well done to them! It is worth more than its price, better quality than the others with double the price! Buy it without fear! Oh, I forgot, the stove heats the house perfectly even in Orestiada without good insulation!
We bought it at the end of November 2017 (5 years ago) and we burn it all day at full power and at night on low in a 130 sqm house in Elefsina. It performs very well, you can't stand in front of it because of the heat it produces. It makes a little noise, but it doesn't bother me. So far, it hasn't had any damage, it is reliable!
We bought the pellet stove Werstahl 6kw a month ago from a company in Patras. From the first moment, the company stood by us for whatever we needed.
The space we want to heat is a 14sqm room with very poor insulation and exposed on 3 out of 4 sides (like an exterior room) with a thin plate that leads to a 12sqm room with high ceilings of about 4 meters.
I can say that with great ease, both rooms are consistently at 22C, while a third room, unfortunately, creates an angle in the space and also has a good temperature (I don't know how much, I don't have a thermometer).
Since we learned about it, it has been permanently in ECO mode. Our pellet consumption (quality A1) is 3 bags per week (Monday to Thursday 4pm-7am, continuously lit from Friday to Sunday)
It is very easy to operate, clean, and efficient. I highly recommend it even for an elderly person. It only requires filling the pellet bin and using an electronic vacuum in the combustion area every day (1 minute of work)
Owner of the s8 in a 75 m2 house with poor insulation, it heats very well on the 3-4 setting and the thermostat at 27 in the living room-kitchen area. It maintains a temperature of 24°C in the bedrooms and is very economical on eco mode with RZ Austrian pellet. The external temperature is 4-5°C.
I am the owner of a recently purchased Zeus 10kw. First of all, I would like to mention that I installed it myself with the telephone assistance of the store technician, who, along with the rest of the company's staff, was very helpful. The stove operates on f3, which is the medium setting, and the fan on s2. Being in a mountain village in Argolida with an outside temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, I can reach 25 degrees Celsius in a 100 square meter space, and the stove can go up two more levels if needed. It is a very powerful heating device with only a slight noise from the fan, but it is a normal whirring sound. If you also get an ash vacuum, like I did, cleaning the stove becomes a breeze. Personally, I highly recommend it
I have it for 3 years. This year I also did maintenance on it. I believe it is worth it both in terms of construction quality and heating quality. It warms up the 67 sqm house after 2-3 hours, depending on the outside cold. And it heats it up until you can't stand the heat. I am very satisfied. Of course, there are much better ones with 300 more that have better performance, but for the 87% efficiency it provides, it is good. Yes, it is worth it.
I bought the 6 today, as soon as I connect it and test it, I will tell you my impressions. And I will complete it after its installation. Easy handling. Good enough heating for 50 square meters. Moderate noise. I believe it's worth its money.
In a space of 65 square meters, the werstahl zeys 10 stove satisfies us quite a bit, easy to handle and clean with the help of the well-written and understandable manual. The house has a north orientation with relatively good insulation in a village near Thessaloniki, and if it's 2-3 degrees outside, we have 24 degrees in the open space (living room-kitchen) and the furthest room, which is 5 meters away from the stove, has 21-22 degrees. The consumption with a good Austrian pellet that I use is around 1 bag, and the stove is consistently set at level 3!
I have it for a year and we are going for a second one. Very good for a 67sqm house with 2 rooms, it just warms them up, but the rooms have 3 degrees less. That is, the living room and kitchen have 30 degrees, while in the rooms I find them at 27-28, depending on how cold it is outside. To see good performance, you should use good pellets. (I use blonde ones, they are cleaner). It is important to clean the tray inside and underneath once a day and to have it maintained by a specialist once a year.
The stove is fire!!!!!! both literally and figuratively. In our area, we have low temperatures up to -12 degrees, we burn it 24/7, on medium setting, and it consumes 22kg/24 hours of pellets (4€), the house has a temperature of 27 degrees. Compared to a wood stove, it is more economical, cleaner, and with a stable temperature. I highly recommend it.
This specific stove has an unmatched quality-price ratio. We did not expect to be so satisfied with a stove that is not so well-known. Its construction is of high quality and its design is very nice. For a single space, it is excellent without meaning that you won't have heat in the rooms. The company is very helpful and assisted us in the fact that this particular stove does not need to be installed by a professional because all you need to do is plug it in and place the chimney somewhere. As I calculate it, by the second year of operation, I will have already recovered the cost of its purchase. It is worth every last euro you will spend.
I have bought it for a year now and it fully covered me during the winter... I used it from noon until late at night... the space warmed up relatively quickly and the consumption was very good. For the money I spent, I believe this winter I will have already recovered my investment...
We did not expect to be so satisfied... it does a very good job for the money it costs compared to others who have bought the same stoves for twice the price.
Perfect!!!!! Reliable !!!!! I used it all day long during the winter on the island of Lesvos... Consumption of 1 bag of pellets and I had 22 degrees!!!! No problems at all... I highly recommend it!!!! Also, very good communication with the company and prompt and quality service!!!!!
I used it for 3 years in Attica, in Agioi Anargyroi, in a house without insulation on the first floor, with 3 out of 4 sides of the house uncovered and without a second floor, for a living room/kitchen/dining room of about 80-90 square meters (I have the 10kw model) and I am very satisfied with its performance.
Pros:
- Good quality construction and nice design
- Relatively economical consumption: in one day, I burned about 1 bag (15 kg) on the medium setting.
- Good thermal performance: although this depends VERY MUCH on the pellets you will buy. The year I didn't buy good pellets (Bioalten, Greek brand), it didn't perform well, didn't produce much heat, fogged up the glass immediately, and filled the combustion chamber in 5-6 hours. With good pellets (Gruneholz by AlfaWood, Greek brand), it had perfect performance and didn't need cleaning every day. Overall, its performance depends on the pellets.
- It heated up to 22 degrees in the house and in very cold temperatures (1-5 degrees) it reached 20 degrees when it was running for about 8-10 hours during the day (starting room temperature 12-14 degrees).
- It has a remote control, so it can be adjusted from a distance.
- Easy to clean if you have a vacuum cleaner (buy one, it will save you time)
- It comes with a manual in Greek (the technician who came for installation brought it to me, recommended by the store where I made the purchase), although it is a bit difficult to understand (the English one is not better).
Cons:
- It makes quite a bit of noise on the high setting (3) (so I always had it on 2)
- It makes a lot of noise when closing, the sides and everything creak (maybe it wouldn't if it was on a carpet)
- The lid that fills the pellets makes a creaking noise because it is iron on iron (I put a paper towel and it was fine)
Overall, the cons are not something significant, the pros are what a stove should have. The installation also plays a big role in its proper functioning, to avoid odors and ensure good airflow, so that also requires attention. It is definitely worth the money.
(If you buy it, ask for the instructions on how to customize the stove for better performance)
As a product, I am completely satisfied. The space heats up very easily and very economically with one bag of pellets per day. It is easy to handle and in terms of noise, it is within reasonable limits. As a store, communication was easy and any transportation issues were resolved quickly. They contacted me after 2 months of purchasing the product to find out if I am satisfied and if I have any issues with it.
I have been using the stove for a month now. It works perfectly. I had a problem with the remote control at first, but the company replaced it without any issues. In the open space of the living room, around 50 square meters, it heats the area very well. In the middle rooms, not so much, but it's still fine. 15 kilograms of pellets are enough for 2 days with at least 15 hours of operation per day. The installation was easy, done with an electrician. In a house without central heating and with an attic of 130 square meters (where it gets quite warm upstairs) and an outside temperature of 8-10 degrees, it reaches 18 degrees in the living room and 16-17 degrees in the middle rooms, only on the low setting. I haven't needed to set it to a higher setting. It's a very good investment. The pellets cost about 70€ for a month. Easy daily cleaning with an electric fireplace vacuum cleaner.
I would give it 4 stars, but there is the following problem! When the stove is turned on in one of the heating options from 1 to 5, you have to turn off the stove and wait for about a quarter! And if you turn it on again, you have to wait 10 minutes and only when the "on" indicator goes off, then you can change the heating scale. This thing is at least annoying! Also, when the stove goes off during the entire extinguishing process, the metals make a lot of noise due to expansion and contraction! Also, if you put it on auto mode, you will never warm up properly in your space! Because the sensor is too close and reads the wrong room temperature, as it heats up itself, which is located at the back, and while the room may have 18 degrees, it reads 25! Also, I have tried 4 pellets and in all of them, it creates the following problem: it has a very strong air inside and it doesn't have enough time to burn the pellet and it throws it in the ashtray while the pellet is still in one third of its volume! And this causes an additional 20-30% consumption!!!! In a 25 square meter space, it is excessive and it heats up quite well with very poor insulation! But in a 50 square meter space, it cannot do a satisfactory job! Also, it says it can hold 18 kilograms! This is a big lie because when it is completely empty, it can only hold a small amount and it will even protrude a little on top!
The pros you will see from elsewhere and they are enough.
The side thin pieces make noise which with a little aluminum foil you can fix and silence.
In the 3-step air extraction, you have a maximum problem with the smell of fumes (meaning it is a disappointment that ruins the whole image),
the glass gets foggy the second day after cleaning it and if you don't have a vacuum cleaner you won't be able to clean it, in my one month of operation it emitted smoke from the door (twice) because the ignition was delayed and the chamber was filled with smoke.
These are its downsides.
12th of '21:
one year after purchasing the stove.
The stove is great, with a light maintenance it heats up my house this year too (not that it gets extremely cold here in Crete) but for a house without insulation, it is very good.
The only downside I will mention is the adjustment, either it is stupid or the manual is in another language and I can't read it in Greek.
I have had it for three months and I will tell you the pros and cons. The positives are that it is economical, it produces hot air, and the handling is easy since I asked for the hidden menu to be sent to me. The manual they sent is .... After I asked and they sent me the hidden manual, everything is fine. It has a timer, it turns on at 5:30 in the morning by itself and turns off at 23:30 automatically. It burns a little over half a bag, it is well-made, nice design, very beautiful, it has nothing to envy from the Italian ones, it is cheap and Greek. The negatives are that it has three levels of air intensity that blows, I have it on the third level and it makes noise, it is annoying. On the second and first level, it doesn't make noise but it hasn't performed well, the glass door needs cleaning every two days. I hope this helps
