I have had it for a week now. Note that as a technician, I change my mobile phone every six months to see the difference in specs between companies, to see models and manufacturing differences from one company to another. The battery is very impressive. It is equally amazing as the charging. It does not lag in terms of processing and has a very smooth flow in its apps. The only thing I would like is a little more volume in the open listening, even though it has a powerful speaker and Dolby Atmos. All the other features were expected and excellent. As a Xiaomi phone, it has its advertisements, but they can all be disabled through the settings. To get a good mobile phone, you need to spend over 260-270€, but there will always be something missing, either in the camera or in the storage or some other feature. This phone literally has it all. AnTuTu score 545K (it's amazing). The phone only needs a screen protector or another case if the factory one does not cover you, and GCam to enhance your photos. It has everything. The price is very good for what you get.
...Continuing 2.5 months after, the phone is flawless. I read the reviews. The signal is excellent on both SIM cards. All phones need adjustments, and it takes me a total of 2 consecutive days each time I change my phone to enter and select the correct settings, download apps, disable ads, go through all the settings one by one, etc. If the correct settings are made, the battery does not drop below 65%-70% daily with Wi-Fi on at 120Hz, with 5 social media apps open, etc. The only thing I don't have permanently on is Bluetooth for security reasons, but you can make it invisible if needed. Bluetooth does not work on one of the 7 devices it has connected to, but after some research, it is a compatibility issue. The screen never blacked out while I was reading (tip: try using a different browser/app to see if it happens). From what I read, you can disable the carousel and all the Xiaomi junk. It does not have LED notification... okay... and it does not have a radio. I can live without LED and radio. The only thing I would like is more volume in open listening, but I added a Bluetooth adapter/microphone in the car and now I speak through the stereo and also play my MP3s (cost 13€ on AliExpress). The phone is simply perfect, with amazing features, but your needs always play a role.
After 6 months of use, I don't understand why it has such good reviews... The screen had a defect from the first days without any drop or impact and additionally I have a problem with the internet antenna and it freezes incredibly in video calls and navigation... In general, it does its job but I was not satisfied.
I give it so many stars because it has ads in the UI (which reopen when you close them) and because the microphone doesn't work well in open listening. I'm not a demanding user, so it does the job for me. If someone uses the phone more, I don't know.
Bought it in April 2023 for 353€.
A good phone, but it could definitely be much cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't buy it again at this price for the following reasons:
1) While it has good speakers for music, it lacks volume for open listening, which makes conversations difficult.
2) Notifications: Countless times I have cleared notifications from the curtain and it keeps showing them to me again. I don't understand why I have to dismiss a notification 4-5 times for it to disappear.
3) Many times my call gets disconnected after one ring. I pick up a call, it rings once and then hangs up. It looks like I'm ignoring calls, and it's annoying when you have work to do.
4) Quite mediocre photo and video quality. You certainly don't expect the best quality like from flagship phones costing 1500€, but you don't expect this either.
On the positive side, I acknowledge that a year later:
1) It runs smoothly, no lag in browsing, etc.
2) It charges extremely fast (although the battery doesn't last as long as in the first semester, but I don't consider it a negative as I know there is wear and tear).
Based on the above, I wouldn't consider it value for money at 353€. It would be a good purchase at around 220€-250€.
I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase of mine!! It delivers what it promises! I have had the phone since March with quite a bit of use throughout the day, and I have absolutely no complaints so far. Its speaker is powerful, the photos are flawless for my standards!! Its battery lasts all day with normal use and charges immediately with the fast charger it provides.
The speakers are weak in volume and you can hardly hear conversations in noisy environments. The Redmi Note 12 purchased at the same time has much stronger sound. I would not buy it again.
Cheap construction. After 8 months of light use and in a case, the phone has bent, meaning it has curved towards the screen. Works very mediocre for its features. Stay away. I will also upload a photo.
After 5 months of use, while I was talking, I stopped hearing and had to end the call and call again. Additionally, when I charged it, it got very hot and I was afraid it would catch fire because it had heated up too much and I couldn't hold it. Furthermore, the last two times it updated, I had to format it in order to open the phone because it would only go up to a certain point, even though I have plenty of space on the phone.
Coming from Huawei, it's day and night. How many bugs can you tolerate with Xiaomi?
I would only recommend the phone at 220-250 with difficulty. It freezes in various places, it seems like a rushed and problematic operating system unfortunately.
Its positives are the powerful speakers with Dolby Atmos, the good screen, and fast charging.
Would I ultimately get it? No.
MIUI has tarnished my experience. It produces something hasty in its usage. Not to mention, basic functions are missing that you have to install yourself.
In the end, it doesn't have what Huawei has.
My first Xiaomi and never again. It misses calls and generally messes up notifications. Additionally, it is not very compatible with the car application. Yes, it is fast and takes good photos, but it lacks in basic functions...
I recently bought Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro (256GB) at a discount price (my old phone was the Redmi Note 8 Pro which I've had for 5 years and it still works really well). So far I am very satisfied with my purchase, it is a good value-for-money phone, with clear picture/video quality and sharp Dolby Atmos sound. It runs very fast, is easy to use and has a beautiful design. It is also an excellent gaming phone. My only complaint is the battery, which does not last that long (1-2 days with moderate to strong use). However the charger is 67 Watts, which makes up for it with its super fast charging. I would definitely recommend it.
Very good device for its money (not over 300 euros). Photos in low light are above average, video is quite good with OIS, fast in applications with many running in the background. The speaker is good, in calls with open listening it gets a little muffled. It does everything and is worth it with some discounts of course in all areas.
Disappointment from Xiaomi, being a fan for years. Its features are fine for a mobile phone priced around 200-220 euros, but definitely not worth it for 300. Average camera, especially the second one is terrible, mediocre colors in general, many bugs in MIUI with downloads, etc. that don't seem to be fixed. The processor speed is not impressive and after six months, with average usage, the battery barely lasts a day. Don't be foolish, with the same amount of money you can get Ulefone or another Chinese brand, much better!
Very satisfied with only difficulty in open listening where the complaint is that they cannot hear me well. Until yesterday when it stopped working. Entered Miui recovery phase.
I gave it for repair and I am waiting for an update.
For those experiencing issues with interruptions in video calls regardless of the application (viber/messenger) disable the setting for calls via WiFi and everything will be fixed!
The definition of value for money for a mobile phone! It really does it all and it's worth it. Fast, with immediate response, amazing screen, satisfactory battery, fast charging, powerful and clear speaker, satisfactory camera, good calls - signal! Amazing performance!!! What else can one ask for from a mobile phone at such a price...???? Reading many reviews, I hesitated a bit before buying it... But I really wonder about the negative reviews that in my opinion do not correspond at all to what the mobile phone offers.... Unless they got a defective product.... What can I say... Really hurry up to buy. It's worth it!!!!
Relatively good phone but it has some freezing issues. Its speaker is very bad when you have an open conversation and it is a major problem for me personally.
It is a mobile phone for the category of the king, very fast. You can expand the memory for even better speed. I operate the phone fully in everything and the only negative is in games, where if you don't use game boost balanced, the battery will drop significantly. (game boost for performance battery saving). Fortunately, it has fast charging and within 20 minutes it has charged satisfactorily. I haven't noticed any other negatives in its functioning so far
Nice phone. The only thing I don't like is that from the first day of operation, sometimes, maybe after a few minutes of inactivity, it takes 1-2 seconds to respond to my first movement. Then it works fine and there is no problem.
I bought this product for 330€ and I have it for about a month. I am quite satisfied with its use so far, although it is still very soon.
The only negatives I could mention are two, but because they now apply to all mobile phones (at least of the same category), I cannot deduct a star from this particular one:
1. I imagine that in order to keep the cost at these levels, the phone seems to have a non-quality plastic that is a bit unpleasant for a mobile phone priced at 300+ euros.
2. The notification light now only lights up once on the screen, and if you miss it... you will have to open the phone to see if you have anything
For the phone itself, after one month of use, I have nothing negative to say... However, the charger that came with it, despite its positive characteristics regarding fast charging, gave up after one month of use... disappointing at least...
I have been using this mobile phone for 5 months and it has already presented problems... Apart from the typical Xiaomi issues, now, after or even during calls, it shuts down on its own and I have to restart it in order to turn it back on.
I recently bought this mobile phone, and I am highly satisfied with it, except for the battery. I am not so satisfied with it because it charges very quickly but doesn't last more than a day, especially if you use it heavily with videos. The previous one definitely lasted for two days.
The mobile is flawless after 2 months of use. I play games with full graphics and it doesn't lag at all. Its screen is average, but for what I need it for, it does its job perfectly. The speakers are not very good, but if you enable Dolby Atmos, they are slightly better.
I got the mobile phone a week ago. Overall, it works fine, takes nice photos and videos without any lag. The major downside is that its battery doesn't last even a full day with regular use.
The battery doesn't last as long as I expected.
On a simple call, the person I'm speaking to doesn't sound good.
The photo and videos are not anything amazing.
For me, the price should have been at 250€
This device is not very satisfactory. 1: It doesn't have 5G... it has almost the weakest free internet connection... 2: I know that the camera is the weak point of Poco, but okay. 3: I am a bit concerned about the quality and volume of the music, but everything is fine. I don't know, I constantly go camping or on long trips and I want to show something to my friends, for example (a video from YouTube or listen to music). I am confused because I spent my money on something that a mobile phone should have... the internet feels like it's 40 years behind, it keeps showing me an (E) all the time... Come on Poco, come on!!!
We got it as a gift for our teenage son. Full use in everything, from games and music to Netflix and photos. Stellar! It doesn't lag anywhere, very fast and good-looking. Satisfactory battery. In heavy use (like GPS or heavy games), it doesn't last all day, but that's understandable. In regular use, it doesn't need charging until the end of the day, maybe not even then. I think we couldn't have gotten something more satisfying for this money.
