Social exclusion and marginalization are two inseparable siblings. They are two sides of the same coin. They arise, coexist, and thrive when the institutions of democracy are depoliticized and dysfunctional. When a person tries to navigate the tolls of the road of life with a fake value system, they are sure to find themselves upside down with their head down and their feet up, helpless and suspended.

Social democracy must ensure the functioning of the social elevator so that the excluded and marginalized can easily find their way back to normalcy. Social exclusion, which intensifies based on the social position of the excluded, is an extremely political issue due to the widening class contradictions. As inequalities widen in a society, the centrifugal social dynamics push more and more people outside its so-called normal walls. And as the functionality of the institutions of social democracy limits inequalities, the centripetal social forces bring the marginalized back to normal social becoming.

The emotional superiority that stems from the fruitless "ego" is usually in a latent or subliminal state in the psychological world of every individual. When this superior feeling is awakened and not restrained, it creates a charged environment that even in a small circle of people marginalizes some of them. Such behavior conceals violence and becomes martyrdom for those who experience it.

The antidote to these phenomena is self-confidence, which must be constantly cultivated in the family and in school, because it liberates people and makes them capable of resisting marginalization and social exclusion that they may encounter in their lives. In order to confront the boundless phenomena of social exclusion and marginalization, one must cool down every element of their sensibility and freeze anything arrogant and superior in their character that ultimately turns into a traumatic arrow against the dignity of their fellow human beings.
