Coming from the Redmi Note 12 4G, this phone impressed me a lot. It has more to do your work, take photos, and listen to music. I do not regret buying it and I recommend it!
On the positive side, I will mention the very good build quality that resembles a higher category model. In operation, it is fast and its operating system works smoothly without any problems.
On the negative side, a major disadvantage is the very poor fingerprint sensor. It takes a long time to read the finger and many times without success.
Also, the signal of the Cosmote mobile network is often low compared to other mobile phones, even the A54. There are places where I have no signal at all, while on the A54 and poco f1 I have bars and satisfactory data speed.
The last Samsung I had was the S7 back in 2018.
Since then, I have had various phones in my hands.....XIAOMI, TCL, POCO.
Two months ago, I decided to get a new phone and chose the Samsung Galaxy A55.
I haven't regretted it for a moment.
Regardless of what some people here (fortunately few) are reading, the battery easily lasts for twenty-four hours. If you don't play games.....definitely two days (maybe even more).
I read someone who wrote that it doesn't have fast charging.....lies, you just need to get the appropriate charger.
Its camera is very good for both daytime and nighttime shots. I don't know what more some people expect.
The 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM, combined with the octa-core processor, make everything work very smoothly.
I haven't had any glitches until today.
It never overheated.
The only thing I regretted was not waiting for the price to drop a bit. I bought it for 500 euros from Vodafone and now it's somewhere around 370.
I left Xiaomi and came to Samsung and overall it is a very good phone. It doesn't lag, has a good screen, and various extras. The disadvantages are the battery that doesn't last long and the notification sounds that are all the same for all applications. Whether you receive an SMS, an email, a message from Messenger, WhatsApp, etc., they all have the same sound. It doesn't give you the ability to customize the notifications you want. This is a big disadvantage. I've only had it for a week, I will come back with updates
I got it as an upgrade from a crappy A31. Initially, I don't spend more than 350 on phones. I decided to spend a bit more (375) to get 256GB. Mainly, multitasking bothers me as I don't play games. Definitely faster and more responsive than the previous one. However, I consider the 8/256 to be somewhat overpriced. The quality of the photos is not its strong point, but they are not bad. However, at this price tag, it is a level below. What one should pay attention to is the size and weight. It is heavy. And it is also thick. Finally, if you put in 2 SIM cards, forget about the SD card because the second slot takes one of the two... Time will tell. If I had looked a bit more, I would have gone for the S21 8/256.
Very good processor
Waterproof
Frozen colors
Battery is good, of course it depends on usage
And the new trend of manufacturers: it doesn't have a headphone jack, damn it
No charger, of course
Overall, Samsung is my favorite brand. Before the A55, I had the A71 4G which lasted 4.5 years, so I believe that everything from Samsung is worth it. I have had the A55 for 1 month now and its handling is very easy for me, as it is very similar to my previous phone. It responds very quickly, I think it has a very good camera for its price, and the battery lasts me 1.5 days when not used intensively. If you are thinking of getting it, it is definitely worth it!
From the end of May in my hands.
It has endured all the heat in my pocket, as a refrigeration technician working 12-14 hours a day almost 2 months now. It never got stuck, never overheated, the battery easily lasts 24 hours with all-day use, data/bluetooth on. Formerly a Huawei user and then a Samsung user, I chose Samsung because I got tired of Huawei (nova 9 was my latest device) with gbox, microG, etc. Plus, I was having issues with the banks. That's why I switched to Samsung to play it safe. Good cameras and very good video with excellent OIS and sound. "The only downside is slow charging and the lack of a charger. The cable they provide is type C to type C, so I ordered a 25W charger from a Chinese site for 3€ and it arrived in a week, charging from 0-100% in about an hour and a half. The quality of the phone is excellent compared to the previous A50-A54 series, it's on par with the S series and has an iPhone-like design. The rest, image, sound, etc., are above average in the category. A phone that, if you take care of it, will easily last you 4 years. It's worth its money, at least in the range of 300-330€
Former owner of Poco F2 Pro I decided to go for this particular model 1) It does not have ads in its settings (it was throwing ads even though I had the option disabled even after formatting) 2) Better software support 3) Samsung had at least better photos on paper, especially on the front camera. I was not disappointed. It is very fast (the processor is fine, works flawlessly without overheating) and indeed its photos are very good. On the negative side (subjective always) it has countless settings that are worth exploring to customize the phone to your needs e.g. battery life. Currently with power saving enabled (except for 5G which I have enabled), adaptive battery protection and extra dim on screen brightness (it is overly bright anyway, personally I prefer it with extra dim) it lasts a day with hotspot enabled and two days with hotspot disabled. Basically if it has a feature that drains the battery it is..............(guess) hotspot. The other drawback is that it does not have fast charging, nor is its battery as large as Xiaomi's for example. Otherwise it has countless features e.g. Bixby (Samsung's equivalent of Siri), fingerprint sensor (works fine for me, I haven't put a glass protector), it takes an extra storage card up to 1TB (!!!!!!) and many more. For someone who doesn't mind learning about it, it's a very good choice for the money, perhaps the best overall.
EDIT: Please note that the package does not include a charger (okay a little shame on you Samsung) and you will need to buy a case and a glass protector, so factor in these costs in your purchase.
I had Xiaomi for years and I decided to make a change now. So, I bought the Samsung A55. It's an amazing mobile phone, I am very satisfied. Perfect photos and videos. Beautiful mobile phone. Long battery life. Don't listen to the negative comments on YouTube. No comparison. The mobile phone is perfect.
For the money, EXCESSIVELY perfect. I had the A52, A54 now this. It is beautiful, powerful, there is not even one negative thing I can think of for a phone worth 300€
Mobile with a unique appearance reminiscent of an iPhone. Very fast, no lags and good battery. The camera, what can I say... it competes with top iPhone models! The video is stable, good quality and detailed. Really value for money, I see no reason for Apple, wasting money. Well done Samsung!!!
Very good device, reliable and equally functional the micro sd card slot for memory expansion. The battery has a very good duration and the response to touch is perfectly fast. (I also use a screen protection glass from spigen) Just needs to activate touch sensitivity when using screen protection and there will be no problem!
I have it for about a month. It is very fast and doesn't freeze.
The camera is great and its battery currently lasts almost 2 days with data on.
Overall, it is an excellent value for money!!
Perfect, I come from A31 so it's a good upgrade. The only negative thing that both A31 and this A55 had is the terrible fingerprint sensor, but okay, it's Samsung's issue I suppose.
Having the phone for a month, I can say that I am impressed. The phone is beautiful and resembles an iPhone externally. I don't use it for gaming and social media, and the apps I usually use are YouTube, Spotify, and general internet browsing.
In the positives: 1) The camera, without being an expert on the subject, is excellent for the price of the phone. I compared it to the iPhone 12, 13, and 15 Pro. In all cases, the photos were either better or at least equal. In low light conditions, the zoom of the Samsung was better than the iPhone 15 Pro. I didn't make a detailed comparison, and as I said, I'm not an expert, just an observation. Especially in photos with focus, it is excellent. I haven't experienced any lag so far on the device. The big positive is its battery. Coming from an old iPhone, I am amazed by the battery life. I charge it every 1.5 days with data or Wi-Fi on all day, Bluetooth for several hours a day, and continuous usage. The sound is quite clear and high-quality. The only negative thing I can say about the device is the fingerprint on the screen unlock. Many times it doesn't recognize it, and you have to use the alternative unlocking method.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the device.
I have the mobile phone for 15 days now. Having previously had the iPhone SE 2020, the battery difference is HUGE. It easily lasts a day with data on. The screen is amazing, smooth with 120 Hz, crystal clear with Dolby Vision and Atmos on the speakers. 4K on Netflix is a DREAM. One UI is fantastic and fast. Now let's move on to the negatives. The camera is terrible, even though the gallery app provides some enhancements. Being a person with a DSLR and years of iPhone usage, the camera is simply unacceptable for videos, but the photo mode has a good night mode. Videos are just NOT good. The data transfer from PC to mobile via cable is a bit slow. Do yourself a favor and buy an authentic charger because the package only includes a cable.
The fingerprint sensor that everyone criticizes is perfectly fast and effective for me personally, but it definitely doesn't compare to Chinese devices like OnePlus and Xiaomi. It's still quite fast even at 60 Hz, but it really shines at 120 Hz. It has good Dolby Atmos speakers, a very premium and beautiful design, flawless functionality with many years of updates. However, the colors are not as vibrant, the cameras are good but for a good and clear selfie, the hand must be very steady because if it moves even a little, the shot comes out blurry. I hope they fix this with an update.
Incredible phone, for its money you can't find anything better I think... years owner of xiaomi.. at first it just had some issues with the fingerprint now it has been fixed and there is no problem at all
The camera is not good at all, the previous phone (XIAOMI POCO X3) had a much better camera and it was a 4-year-old phone. Overall, it is good without any lag, but the fingerprint sensor is not the fastest.
This particular mobile phone is flawless. For as long as I can remember, I have had Samsung phones but I always admired and wanted an iPhone. Fortunately, they are expensive and I did not have the luxury to buy one, nor to pay in installments. However, I wanted a mobile phone that combines a nice exterior appearance with good construction, a good camera and video, large storage space, and finally to be fast, without lagging. Well, this phone has it all. It's awesome. Even the battery. It charges in less than an hour and lasts me all day (I always keep the battery between 30% - 80%) while I constantly have it in my hands. The way I use it is scrolling through social media and apps, music, photos, and videos for personal use and not professional, and one or two games to pass the time. The speakers sound loud and clear. The camera is wonderful, it even has the ability for live photos, the videos are amazing with high resolution, and its functionality is flawless. Face ID is fast as well as the fingerprint sensor. Honestly, it has nothing to envy from higher category phones. For those who want a user-friendly, beautiful, and functional phone at a reasonable price, you are in the right place. It will not disappoint you.
P.S. There are videos on YouTube comparing this particular model to higher category phones. Take a look
I bought it for 275 euros with tax deduction, after using XIAOMI for several years. I have had it for 1.5 months and I still haven't gotten used to it. It hasn't been convenient for me in general, as Google Maps and Messenger sometimes freeze. Its unlocking speed is not fast enough, and it is quite thick and heavy. Of course, I knew some of these things when I bought it, but because I was tired of Xiaomi's MIUI, I decided to give it a try. For me, the only positive aspect is the camera.
Basically one of the best phones that Samsung has released in the 350-400 euro range. Very good camera/video and features. The battery lasts 24 hours with heavy usage. I think the external casing of the phone is amazing. One of the best designs. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Value for money in its greatness. The phone externally is beautiful, with a large screen and perfect colors, on-screen fingerprint sensor that works quite fast, without any lags even with a screen protector. The bezels could definitely be smaller, however, it is not something that detracts significantly from the beauty of the phone. The metal frame adds a lot. The glass back is a fingerprint magnet. Here's a note: The color, although it looks black, is clearly dark navy blue. Internally, the phone is worth its money and more. It excels in everyday use without any hiccups or lags, with Samsung's classic easy and fast software with nice extra features like Bixby (Samsung's Siri). The cameras may be the weakest point of the phone, however, they will not disappoint. They are definitely not aimed at professionals, but they easily meet the needs of the everyday user. I highly recommend it.
Truly good quality mobile phone, after Huawei/Xiaomi both in construction and features. The camera is excellent, the battery lasts a lot, the only problem I faced is with my old memory card but maybe it's because it's old...
Amazing phone. Sturdy construction, excellent camera and screen. Coming from the Motorola Edge 40 neo which supported super fast charging, the only thing that concerned me was its battery, which ultimately easily lasts the day even when I use it heavily. So the battery is also great. Bright and clear screen even under the midday sun and excellent speakers. I haven't found anything to disappoint me, I highly recommend it.
