I bought a double bed with drawers which, as the description said, is made of wood. When it arrived and I saw it, it was made of particle board (I don't know if when you say wood, you mean this, I knew we mean real wood). Nevertheless, I started assembling it and from the beginning, it didn't seem very sturdy to me. In one month, the entire back broke and became crooked. The screws inside the side of the bed were eating away at it, causing the screws to not hold anymore. To cut it short, when I called them, they told me it was my fault due to usage and said, "Come on, just get 2 small screws and fix it yourself," they told me. So, whatever I did, whether it was the assembly or even worse, what did I do wrong by screwing screws into the loose part of the particle board? In the end, I brought in a carpenter whom I paid, he added components that I paid for, and he used real wood (proper wood this time!!!) to make it sturdy. And suddenly, everything was fine!!! Overall, from this whole experience, it would have been better if they had written that it is of poor quality and I would have decided to pay 50 euros more to get a better one. Unprofessional, at least!!!
I bought the bed because it is very beautiful and it matched my space. The construction was of much lower quality than I expected, with very thin wood for the slats, and the bottom of the drawers is made of a flexible sheet of wood. We reinforced it with wood glue during assembly. I recommend buying it if you want a beautiful and affordable solution for your bedroom. However, be careful not to overload the drawers because they will definitely break.
I bought the bed at the end of May 2023. After about two weeks, the slat on the back came off. I had to screw it back in place. So far, two planks have broken and the supporting base has come off.
Overall, the bed is elegant and assembly is quite easy, but I don't think it's worth the money.
I bought the bed for 140E. Its construction is of low quality, but aesthetically I think it is beautiful. It appears to be a sturdy bed, with a beam in the middle to prevent the slats from sagging too much, and the slats have holes for screws. The only thing that seems like it won't last long is the headboard, which is already a bit loose. For its price, it is a good value.
It's just plain cheap that they didn't bother to put adhesive tape and the chipboard is visible. I think it's a shame, I don't have money to spare.... ridiculous
I have it for a year and a half and I am relatively satisfied. Its construction is not the best, very low quality wood with paper. However, I gave it a chance... despite the difficulty of assembly, I can say that it has held up well so far!!!! For its price, it definitely worth it and it is aesthetically pleasing! My advice is to get a good and thick mattress and then everything is fixed!!!
Purchased in 2016.. it was not at all of good quality, the drawers didn't open properly after a while, the boards broke in two months.. almost one with the floor.. aesthetically it looks nice, but stay away, it's not worth it!
I have had it for 4 years. I have disassembled and reassembled it twice. It hasn't suffered anything. It doesn't creak. The drawers work perfectly. And even though it's not solid wood, it does the job without any problem. It is quite low in height.
For the money, it is a very good choice. Anyone who knows even a little about assembly manages just fine without any problems. I haven't added any extra screws yet to make the bed more stable, but so far it hasn't been necessary either
The bed, from the day we got it, seemed to have poor quality. The connections in the wood didn't close properly, the wood was very soft, and the slats that hold the mattress didn't fit correctly. It is aesthetically very beautiful indeed, it lasted us a little while with patience, but now it has started to fall apart. Just know that it is a bed that you will have to replace very soon. If it doesn't have a good price, I suggest not even considering it.
Update:
A few days after it broke on one side, and I had to take out the mattress in order to try and reattach it temporarily, it completely broke on the other side as well. If you get it, know that you have a cheap construction
The bed is very beautiful, not very sturdy but because we screwed the corners additionally, it became more stable. I have had it for a year and I am very satisfied for its price, as I wanted something economical and beautiful, and this was suitable for me!
As you can see in the photos, the melamine on the headboard is broken and also the tape on the bed frame is poorly attached (it is not PVC, it is from ironing). I am a carpenter, but at the urging of my wife, I didn't make a bed by myself and listened to her because she wanted this one, she says.
The bed is made of 16mm melamine, in some areas there are two 16mm pieces glued together like a sandwich. It has bare particle board in all non-visible areas, the drawers are made of 14mm melamine with a 3mm chipboard bottom and 1.50 euro guides, and they are poorly constructed. In order for them to work properly, you have to do your own adjustments and have at least basic knowledge of carpentry. The bed is from the company Woodwell and the box says "Made in Malaysia".
Now, regarding stability. It is tied together to a moderate degree and you will need to make your own reinforcements. The headboard moves as if it is feather-light. You will need at least 4 additional slats because the ones it comes with are not sufficient. It has 18mm plywood slats with a width of 4 points.
Overall, it is a very cheap construction, the final result is not the worst but it is equivalent to its price. If you want something cheap for a temporary solution or if your spouse insists on it, then go for it, otherwise look for something else.
I have had it for four months, the assembly is relatively difficult because you have to screw everything piece by piece from the frame to the drawers, which also come in wooden pieces (in other words, you do the carpentry work). Its material is a simple melamine of average quality, its external appearance is beautiful, as a final result it is stable like a bed, the melamine rests directly on the floor. The drawers have a simple mechanism, not of good quality, and if they are not screwed correctly, they do not fit or close completely. Finally, the slats are sturdy but narrow, leaving a large gap between them, and they need reinforcement so that the mattress placed on top does not get damaged.
We got the first bed... full of holes from screws and scratches... we said okay, it happens... let's send back the old one and have them send us a new one... only to have them send us another one after a month... and the whole process with the shipping... where God himself intervened and we finally reached a solution after calling them every day... and all this hassle of sleeping on the floor for a month just to receive another one in the SAME condition... full of holes and corners eaten away... unacceptable!!!!!!
I have had it for over two years and overall I am satisfied. It is sturdy and does not creak, the drawers function properly. Unfortunately, it has absorbed moisture, resulting in mold appearing on the entire frame twice, despite using a dehumidifier every day. Unfortunately, I am in need of a replacement.
Unbelievable construction that I didn't expect for its price. It requires a lot of process to assemble it, but if you have a little patience, you'll find it worth it. Very sturdy construction and good quality wood. Everything on the bed is well thought out, even the caps for the visible screws. I liked that the slats are all together and screwed in. Really good job, it truly deserves its price
I've had it for three years now and I have to say that for the money it's very good. Assembly is relatively easy for two people and overall the result is good for a melamine bed.
I would suggest a few additions that you should make to avoid future durability issues.
1. Get extra slats. It's an extra cost that is worth it.
2. On the wooden beam where the slats sit, reinforce the joint with the sides of the bed (which are nailed) with extra wood screws at intervals.
3. At the joint of the sides with the back, in addition to the screws it has, add extra long wood screws to make it even more stable.
4. On the back panels, add extra nails or thin wood screws.
Considering you're getting a bed for €150, I think these reinforcements are reasonable to make. I haven't faced any issues in the three years I've had it
As a construction, it is not particularly high quality, but for this price, you can't get something better. It is beautiful, the assembly is very easy, it just takes a little time because there are many screws, I don't understand why it bothered many buyers.
If over time it starts to loosen as some people mention, you can put some corners with zero cost from the paint store in your neighborhood and solve the issue.
I bought 2 for 2 different houses because I wanted something cheap and simple. For the price, it's great, I bought it for 100€. The design is nice and minimalistic. It's definitely not sturdy. It's quite low, so it's better to use a tall mattress, about 25 centimeters or more. It's difficult to assemble, I paid extra to have it assembled for me.
It is a beautiful bed, yes, BUT not at all stable and not at all sturdy. We have had it for less than a year and the top part has broken, resulting in moisture and gradually deteriorating the whole bed.
Very good for its price, easy assembly, be careful with the drawers because they are not the same. In one, it gets stuck a little and you think you made a mistake in the assembly. The only downside, if you want to call it a downside, is if you have uneven tile flooring because without legs on the floor, it needs to be straight. Personally, because I had a problem, I put a small wedge and the problem was solved. The drawers are small but you can fit sheets, underwear, or whatever you think without bulk. Personally, I didn't screw the boards and I used the entire space underneath for storage with summer clothes. The good thing is that it also comes with the boards as a gift
I have had it for a year and the bed is just like the first day I got it. Maybe because I assembled it myself in about an hour or so. The truth is that it is not a special construction, but it is unnecessarily complicated, but for its price, it is a great value for money.
I also don't understand some comments I see,
1st how you break the slats (they are quite good and plenty)
2nd the drawers close and open with a touch if you put them in correctly
3rd the headboard of the bed needs a good screwing just like the rest of the bed, I don't understand how it comes off for many people (either you are doing acrobatics on it or you screwed it with your teeth).
That's all from me, food for thought
I have it here for about six months and I can say that I am quite satisfied. However, the drawer is a bit crooked, although it may be that I haven't placed it correctly, but regardless, it's a minor issue. It may seem low to you, but with the mattress on top, it will rise in height.
Very poor quality, the wood has defects everywhere, it came without a manual and it takes at least 3 hours to assemble. An electric screwdriver is necessary.
It came with insufficient planks. At least as many more are needed.
It's like buying it second-hand. Beautiful indeed, but poorly handled.
Very poor quality, the wood has defects everywhere, it came without a manual and it takes at least 3 hours to assemble. An electric screwdriver is necessary. It came with insufficient planks. At least the same amount is needed.
It's like buying it used. Beautiful indeed, but poorly handled.
The most terrible, poorly constructed bed I have ever seen, it's not even worth 30 euros. I just wasted a total of 96 euros for it to come to my city. It shouldn't be sold at all, and of course, I will contact the consumer advocate to get my money back.
Cheap construction, I bought the black color, assembly took only 3 hours by myself, it seems stable now but I don't know how durable it will be and if it will peel off, etc. A dehumidifier is necessary in case it withstands. Important: I glued the headboard to the wall and put a large foam piece and a fabric between them so that it doesn't move back and forth and the screws inside the wood don't get damaged, but also to protect it from moisture and impacts. We'll see...
Very poor construction quality..
It's not worth its money and at this price it is expensive for its material construction. Very fake.
The only good thing is its appearance.
Otherwise, it is better to choose something of higher quality in solid wood than this
Well.... I don't know if it's the store's fault or not... anyway... I buy it and the store's carrier tells me... it's a very good choice but it takes time to assemble, don't worry... I'm thinking, what is this guy saying... I spent five endless hours on step two and why, you may ask? Two connecting boards were missing... Made in Malaysia, he says (if I remember correctly, the country of production)... I got them after a month and a half... the drawers are completely useless, the tracks are a mess... they don't even open with force, not to mention they don't have handles and I had to install them myself... but the bed is quite sturdy and its construction is very good, as long as you have patience, tested... good price, just don't count on the drawers... the bed is not easy... it's a man's assembly... I bought it for 200... 300 is too much... get something else
It is a bed that you can buy without regretting your money, if of course you know what you are buying. Anyone who cannot afford to pay more should not even think about it. The assembly requires two people and takes a maximum of two hours. I inform you that it is something stable but we are not talking about solid wood.... Let the wise understand!!!
As a design, it is minimal and nice for a simple white bed. However, its quality is definitely equal to the price, obviously. I have had it for a few days and there hasn't been any serious issue except for the fact that the inner central piece at the headboard has come off backwards because when you lean on it, it moves back since it is simply nailed with nails (unacceptable), even if it has resistance from the wall. We will probably screw it with screws. It also had a slight defect because the drawer didn't close because it was half an inch to the right from its construction, so we had to fix it from scratch and it also came slightly damaged/scratched, which probably seems like an issue of cheap construction and not the transportation company. Update: in 1.5 months, a slat broke.
