The thematic field of Business Ethics, internationally known as Business Ethics, may sound paradoxical or even unrealistic due to the current data of globalization and fierce competition, also because of the existing tendency to deny any correlation between ethics and businesses. Often, the adoption of Machiavellian practices by modern organizations, aiming to achieve maximum profit at the minimum cost, signifies a current perception based on the idea that every business can serve its goals without necessarily evaluating its actions or omissions from an ethical perspective. This perception shapes the argument that ethics and businesses are incompatible concepts and that their connection in the field of business ethics is simply a contradiction, especially since - as argued - ethical attitude refers to purely personal choice. The above broader problematic is the focus of this work, as well as the discussion about the existing myths regarding business ethics.
