I have it for over 8 years with heavy use (construction work) and war dog. It works and drills comfortably, only it may lack in power and the process becomes more time-consuming compared to its bigger brother.
As a professional electrician who has had several similar tools pass through my hands, I believe that this tool is one of the best.
Very lightweight
Does not tire you during use
The motor does not make noise [I hold it next to my head when I dig for electrical work and it does not bother me]
Its construction is sturdy
Reliable MAKITA
I have had it for 2 months without any problems, I highly recommend it
I am the owner of this particular tool, for a week now.
First impressions: Very compact in size. Excellent build quality and operation, with a very long cable (4m) and a high-quality second chuck.
The carrying "case" could have been a bit bigger, to fit more drills/bits, etc., but that's a minor issue. The one it has serves its purpose well and is very sturdy.
In terms of power, it is exactly what I want. It is strong enough but not excessively so, allowing for precise drilling, for example when working near pipes.
As for reliability, it is too early to tell. I will update my review after some time, when it has been tested more thoroughly.
Excellent drill with a lot of power and also has a quick chuck to accommodate any drill bit!!!
It is Japanese, so you know it has perfect reliability and comes with a 3-year warranty!!!
update: I have had it for 3 years now and with regular use that I have given it, it is like new.
However, it does not have the power I expected because it struggles quite a bit when I drill into a brick wall with a diamond core drill bit.
