Description

The heat pump Yutaki-M RASM-4VNE from the company Hitachi, has a power of 11 kW and can cover the needs of a house up to 110 m². It is a device that has the ability to extract existing energy from an external space and transfer it to an internal one, providing heating and cooling. In order to heat the space, the heat pump extracts heat from the environment and transfers it to the interior of the house in order to increase the temperature of the indoor space. On the contrary, in order to cool the space, it extracts heat from the interior of the house and releases it into the environment, gradually cooling the space.
It can be connected to single-phase or three-phase power supply, consuming a small percentage of electrical energy from the grid and extracting the remaining energy from the environment. This results in energy and cost savings, as there is no longer a need to purchase oil or wood. The use of electrical energy is only required during the heat pumping stage, not during its transportation. The ratio of energy required for the pump's operation corresponds to approximately 3/4 from the environment and 1/4 from the electrical current. This means, for example, that for every 3 kWh extracted from the environment, in combination with 1 kWh of electrical energy required for its operation, we have a total of 4 kWh of useful thermal energy.
The technology used is air-water, using air as a heat source and water as a medium of transportation. It heats or cools the water, which is then distributed inside the house.
The system is monoblock, meaning that all its individual components (such as the compressor, heat exchanger, fans, etc.) are integrated into a single unit, which is placed in an outdoor area. This offers you ease of installation and direct connection to the water system.
It is considered medium temperature, as the water temperature of the system can reach up to 60 degrees Celsius, and it can be combined and equally efficient with both underfloor heating and fan coils.
The pump can optionally accept a tank to produce hot water for domestic use throughout the year. The tank is not included and must be purchased separately.
Finally, in any case, the proposal for the most suitable heat pump based on the needs is made by an experienced engineer. After studying, they will recommend the appropriate pump that will provide the maximum efficiency with the lowest annual operating cost. If you choose a heat pump with higher power than what the building needs, besides the higher initial cost for its purchase, it forces it into continuous restarts, resulting in pump wear and increased operating costs.

I have the 11 pump for almost 2 years. Below I will share my experience both for the pump and for the company.
    - When it was installed, it worked flawlessly for a year. At some point it showed an error. I contacted the company and they asked for a technician to be present to make some measurements and see what happened. Indeed, the next day the technician came and in a phone call with the service, a board was found burnt. Here I should mention that it was possibly burned from voltage fluctuations but the company sent me another one for free and my technician replaced it. Total cost 20€.
    - Recently it started showing error 070. Again, contact with the company and step by step it made measurements on the central panel and the unit and identified a factory error which we solved together. The technician was absolutely patient and somehow "patriotic" that the problem had to be found and solved. And it was. Cost 0€.
    - In conclusion, I give the company 5 stars because it was impeccable without its own fault.
Now, the cost for a 100sqm house with 5 people (HWC) the consumption is a total of 500-600kw with an electric stove, washing machine, dryer, etc. that a family of 5 can have. I should note that the heating is underfloor.
    - Company + service 5 stars
    - Space heating with underfloor (economical form)
    - Pump + underfloor + thermal insulation + plastic frames 5 stars for fun.

I have installed it since 2018. It operates continuously in winter and summer. It provides a lot of warmth and coolness respectively, depending on the season. The only pause in operation is 1.5 months in spring and 1.5 months in autumn. The electricity cost before the adjustment clause was about 400 euros per winter quarter and 150 euros before and after the clause, exactly double. But still, compared to a burner and oil, there is no comparison.

I have installed it for 20 days. With 40 degrees in the water and 23 degrees during the day and 21 at night in the room. Without interruption, I think it burns 15-20 klw.
Update: After one year, in 5.5 months of continuous operation, total electricity consumption is 450 euros for both the pump and the house.

Super tool, I have it for 2 years with 24 degrees at home without interruption (important) and water in the bodies at 35-50 degrees, i.e. outside if it is 15+. I will have 35 degrees in the bodies and if it is -10 degrees, it will have 50 degrees in the bodies, this is called compensation with a good adjustment in the compensation it will be super. In 2018-2019, it burned only the pump 6200kw. I also have a night mode.

In combination with underfloor heating (water operating temperature from 28 to 36 with compensation) in a northern region of Greece (Kilkis) with a constant thermostat set at 22.5 in a 100m2 insulated (10mm) detached house, it consumed 4000kWh in 2016 and 1800kWh in the winter of 2017. From the installation year 2016 until December 2022, it has consumed 19000kWh.

I have installed the same one in a 90 square meter apartment (with thermal insulation throughout the apartment) and without heating water for the bathroom, it consumes 50 kW every day (Patras area - 50 kW measured with an electricity meter on the main panel only for the heat pump). They seem like a scam to me..... Overrated, even the service from Hitachi when we called them, they apathetically told us to contact the seller we bought it from again.....

    Sincerely,

christpatp
