The tire is a suction cup. I feel the car stuck to the road and sturdy. It is quite soft so it may wear out faster. I don't have an opinion on wet conditions yet, I will come back when I try it.

This review is about a variation of the product

    Dimension 195/50/15.
I decided to try them after being disappointed with the Falken Sincera SN110 and Pirelli P1.
After 10,000 km, I have to say that the positives are that they are quiet and have truly exceptional grip BOTH in dry and wet conditions. The only negative thing I find is that at speeds around 80 km/h there is a slight instability in the car, as if there is a constant side wind blowing, and although there is no problem, it may scare the everyday driver. Perhaps this is due to the soft sides of the tire. However, as the speed increases, this sensation disappears and everything becomes excellent. Ultimately satisfied and of course, I will choose them again.

Amazing tires. I wear them on an Opel Corsa C Twinport 2005. Completely silent. They warm up quite quickly. Impressive performance in the rain. I would dare to say that I liked them a little more than the Pilot. They are not cheap but they are worth it. Whenever I needed to play, they didn't disappoint.

Yokohama Advan Fleva. Worn on a 106 rallye 16v with Koni yellow suspension on soft setting, not lowered, in size 195/50/15 82V.
For the past 9 years and 160,000 km, I have used 3 sets of Yokohama S.drive tires in the mom's size of 185/55/14V. The tire was hot in its own class while it required attention when cold!
Having now driven 5,000 km with the Advan Fleva, I have started to form an opinion.
The Advan Fleva is immediately responsive to sudden changes in direction, both in the front and rear. However, it is not as immediate and aggressive as the S.drive. The S.drive was ultimately in a different class in terms of pressure and fast driving with WARM tires! However, the Fleva reaches operating temperature a bit easier than the S.drive, requires less attention when cold, performs equally well in braking, and definitely performs much better in wet conditions. With rain and human driving, I did not experience any hydroplaning even in areas with standing water.
In the morning, after 5 minutes in narrow streets and 5 minutes on the Attiki Odos, the tire has warmed up satisfactorily. Similarly, with a 10-minute smooth drive on an open ring road.
Of course, this particular tire states in its characteristics that it is a sport tire, with rubber for up to 1g of lateral grip, but it is not recommended for use during the winter months with low temperatures. So, considering that I put them on in November and now it is January, I may need to wait for warmer days to see it at its best. (Although our winter temperatures may be considered relatively high.)
Superior to the Hankook Ventus Prime3 in the same size, with a speed index of H and the same load index of 82 in the 15-inch, which I used for a week without rain and took it off as it was.
Not suitable for this particular car with tight suspension, nor for smooth driving. Very soft profile. Front is okay. It did not create any problems. Very progressive return in an entry with gas and fantastic grip on slippery roads early in the morning even with moisture. It warms up immediately, very good feeling on the steering wheel, VERY comfortable, amazing braking even with completely cold tires!
BUT! Great instability in the rear. Regardless of the pressure, whether it's 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, or 35!!! Nothing. With speeds of 70-100 km/h, sudden lane changes for a fantastic sudden obstacle... TERROR!!!!
The rear end, with a delay of over 1 second after changing the direction of the front end, decides WHERE it will finally stabilize. The rear tires slide heavily and hardly control the sudden lateral load...
You have the feeling that you are carrying a very heavy load in the trunk and it really pushes the rear end outwards (all this happens due to the sliding of the profile) and then it pulls back in. In a difficult-unexpected moment, it is impossible to keep the rear end stable. We said terror in a controlled fantastic scenario... In the unexpected one, it will definitely lose grip in the rear. All of this for the specific 106 rallye. In another car, it will likely behave differently.
For a family or a softer car that takes its turns and sudden changes in direction, the Hankook may be ideal for fast driving and obviously very safe. For example, in my friend's Opel Corsa CDTI. Definitely what it needs!
For THIS particular car, my car, it was a completely wrong choice. Completely wrong!

Given that the sdrive is no longer produced, and after the disappointment with the Ventus Prime3, I consider the Advan fleva to be a very good choice for a sport tire for this particular car or for similarly lightweight front-wheel drive cars with relatively stiff suspensions. It matches the character of the car and doesn't "waste" as a tire. You can safely have fun with the car in corners, and when needed, the tire shows that it will hold you despite having a slightly softer profile compared to the sdrive.

If it has the same durability as the sdrive, I will be very satisfied!

And it's very, very quiet! In a 106, you hardly have any rolling noise (!!!)

However, I would also like to see the Michelin Pilot Sport 3.
    Maybe in the next change.

Much better than the continental premium contact 5 that I had before.
Soon I'm going for a second set.
