The late Archimandrite Fr. Sophronios Papakyriakou, preacher of our Holy Metropolis, served our local Church during the high priesthood of the venerable Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, His Eminence Hierotheos Paraskevopoulos.

Fr. Sophronios was a wise mind, a learned clergyman, and an excellent handler, as little as possible, of the Greek language, both ancient and modern.

His literary work is distinguished not only for its detailed texts, but also for the perfect handling of the Greek language. [...]
